Abstract/Summary:
When we’re researching Taiwan’s turbulent history after World War Ⅱ,where politics change frequently and to some extend ideologies contradict each other,by the view of global politics and thoughts,we’ll figure out that the course of such period is coincide with that of the world.As the Western political,economical and philosophical thoughts coming into Taiwan,the island’s political activities have been profoundly stricken.However,in spite of the fact that homogenization of ideology is prevailing,the region has also shown distinctive characteristics which are shown by the conflicts and integration between intrinsic oriental cultural traditions and emerging Western ideologies.This special phenomenon is brightening the eyes of researchers in all areas.This paper aims to analyze the practice of ideological and political education in Taiwan after World War II,pointing to three levels.The first is to enrich the ideological and political education theory in China by studying what it is and how it is put into practice in countries and regions.The second is to show how did the political parties and forces who were intend to be separatist act perversely in the ideological and cultural area by pushing aside a dense fog of a dramatically changing ideology.The third is,in a world of globalization and cultural diversity,to enhance the ideological and political education under the guidance of Marxism in our country by observing how did Taiwan’s social consciousness be transformed and where it is heading to under the influence of various ideological trends.In order to research Taiwan’s ideological and political education mode in an open view,this paper uses overall point of view.The main line of this study is in line with the process of Taiwan’s reforms of politics and education,which is divided into four phases:the educational mode of Party under the authoritarian rule by KMT(the Kuomintang),the educational mode during the democratic transition period,the educational mode of localization,and the diversified educational mode in the new period.The thesis is divided into six parts.The first part is made up of answers to the question proposed,research significance,review of research status both at home and abroad,and methods of research.The second part discusses the ideological reasons of the formation of the ideological and political education mode in Taiwan after the war from the perspective of social thought.The third part discusses the educational mode of Party under the authoritarian rule by KMT.The fourth part discusses the educational mode of de-politicization.The fifth part discusses the educational mode of localization.The sixth part discusses the educational mode.Each of them is explained from three parts:background,content and strategies of implementation,coupled with analyses and comments at the end of every mode.
