Since the founding of the Communist Party of China,with the deepening of our Party’s understanding of the law of socialist democratic political development,the Party’s theory of people’s democracy has also been continuously developed and improved.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the world has been in a great change that has not been seen in a century.Internationally,there are many problems in the development of democracy in the West,the hegemony of Western democratic discourse is declining,the pattern of ideological pluralism is more obvious,and the construction of China’s democratic discourse system and its influence continue to expand;Domestically,in the face of the transformation of the major contradictions in Chinese society and the new requirements of realizing the modernization of national governance,the Communist Party of China urgently needs to strengthen the theoretical innovation of people’s democracy to meet new risks and challenges.Entering the new era,the continuous promotion of intraparty democracy and socialist consultative democracy practice has played an important fundamental role in the formation of the theory of people’s democracy in the whole process.As the latest achievement of the people’s democratic theory of the Communist Party of China,the people’s democratic theory in the whole process has realized the innovative development of the people’s democratic theory from the four aspects of the main body,process,field and the form of democracy.It has the characteristics of practical guidance,theoretical inheritance,and comprehensive and systematic.The realization of this theoretical innovation is of great theoretical significance,which is conducive to deepening the theoretical research on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,enriching and developing the theory of people’s democracy,and enriching and developing the theory of human democracy;At the same time,the realization of this theoretical innovation is also of great practical significance,which is conducive to promoting the modernization of national governance,the realization of Chinese-style modernization,and the provision of new options for the development of human political civilization.In the new era and new journey,we must adhere to the guidance of the whole process of people’s democratic theory and follow the development path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.It is necessary to strengthen the system of the people as the masters of the country to ensure the all-round development of consultative democracy,actively develop grassroots democracy,and consolidate and develop the broadest patriotic united front.Only in this way can we better realize that the people are the masters of the country.
