With the continuous development of China’s economy,characteristic towns are new models and measures adopted in the context of China’s development entering a new era and sustainable development of new urbanization.The development and construction of characteristic towns was initially proposed by Zhejiang,providing a template for the development of China’s rural economy.Through the practice of constructing characteristic towns in recent years,it has been proven that characteristic towns play a very important role in promoting rural revitalization and the construction of new urbanization,achieving a bridge for the integration of urban and rural development.Due to different understandings of characteristic towns in different regions,there are differences in actual effects,and there is no standardized and unified model across the country.Therefore,in the process of building characteristic rural towns,it is necessary to start from the actual situation and seek construction schemes that meet local standards.It is also necessary to conduct specific analysis and research on specific issues in combination with the local geographical environment and the actual situation of the region.In order to better promote the construction of local characteristic towns and promote the economic development of local rural areas.This article takes the construction of characteristic towns in W Town,Weifang City as the main research object,and studies the current development status of local characteristic towns.It has read a large amount of materials related to the construction of characteristic towns and visited relevant personnel to discuss the role of government functions in the construction process of W Town’s characteristic towns.Subsequently,there are still some issues that need to be improved in the construction process of characteristic towns in this article,The guiding effect is insufficient,a multi-party participation mechanism has not been formed,and the scale effect has not yet emerged,public service supporting to be improved and so on in-depth research and analysis,clearly supervise the formulation of long-term tasks and objectives.And the domestic development of good characteristic town case in-depth study,learn from successful experience,put forward the development of characteristic town should accurately grasp the function of the government,improve the diversified market operation mechanism of doing business environment construction,optimize the government public service,such as countermeasures,with the biggest support and help give characteristic town construction.It is hoped that the study of this paper can provide useful reference value and experience for the construction of characteristic towns in other areas of China.
