| Government credibility is the ability of the government to win the trust of the people,but also the expression of the government’s soft power.The credibility of local government can reflect the degree of democratization of local government.The continuous development of new media has reconstructed the ecology of public opinion and the mode of communication.New media platforms represented by Weibo and wechat have become an indispensable part of daily life,and both the public and the government have gradually integrated into the era of new media.New media has a great impact on the credibility of local governments and can help the government build a good government image.But at the same time,new media is not only an opportunity,but also a challenge.This paper selects A city as the research object,discusses the credibility of local government from the perspective of new media,and proposes effective strategies to improve government credibility.Firstly,this article analyzes and summarizes the research status of domestic government by the method of literature analysis.Secondly,questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the public credibility of A Municipal government in the context of new media,so as to grasp the current situation and existing problems,including the lack of government information openness,poor response to new media public opinion,low quality of government new media service,and low online political participation of the public.Thirdly,combined with the background of new media,the paper analyzes the causes of the difficulties affecting the public credibility of A Municipal government,including the imperfect government information disclosure mechanism,the lack of new media public opinion response ability,the concept of new media service needs to be strengthened,and the public’s weak awareness of online political participation.Finally,on the basis of summarizing the successful experience of domestic and foreign local governments in enhancing their credibility under the background of new media,the paper puts forward the path of improving local government credibility,including improving the information disclosure mechanism,improving the ability of new media to cope with public opinion,strengthening the service concept of new media and cultivating the public’s awareness of new media participation,so as to continuously strengthen the construction of local government credibility,Helping the public to trust and support the government more not only helps to strengthen the cohesion between A Municipal government and the public,but also promotes the stable and healthy development of society in A City,and better and faster promotes the progress of a harmonious socialist society. |
