Research On The Influencing Factors Of Villagers’ Participation In The Governance Of Rural Human Settlement Environment

The governance of rural human settlements cannot be separated from the villagers’ initiative and substantial participation.To explore the key factors that affect villagers’ participation in rural residential environment governance,we should not only explain the causes of their behavior from the psychological level,but also explore the mechanism of the transformation from participation willingness to behavior,so as to deepen the cognition of the behavior mechanism of villagers’ participation in environmental governance.Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and Motivation-Opportunity-Ability Model,this study constructs a research model of villagers’ participation in rural residential environment governance,and comprehensively explains the psychological adjustment and willingness transformation mechanism of villagers’ actions.On the basis of the existing research results,this paper specifically explores the influencing factors of villagers’ participation in the governance of human settlements from four perspectives: subjective norms,behavioral attitudes,participation opportunities,and participation capabilities.Based on the empirical evidence of rural toilet reconstruction in Faku County,the research model was verified by factor analysis and multiple regression statistical inference methods using 360 survey data from 30 administrative villages and 33 natural villages in 8townships in Faku County.The results of data analysis show that villagers’ subjective norms,behavioral attitudes and participation opportunities have a positive significant impact on their willingness to participate,while their participation ability has no significant impact on their willingness to participate;The villagers’ subjective norms,behavior attitudes and participation opportunities have a positive impact on the villagers’ participation behavior,but the economic capacity in the participation capacity has a negative significant impact on the participation behavior.Therefore,in order to effectively enhance the villagers’ willingness to participate in the governance of rural human settlements,ensure the opportunities for participation,improve the ability to participate,and enhance the level of participation,it is necessary to build a mechanism for villagers to participate in the governance of rural human settlements,which includes a supervision and supervision mechanism,an incentive incentive mechanism,an operation and maintenance management mechanism,an information communication mechanism,and an ability improvement mechanism,thus stimulating the endogenous motivation of villagers to participate in the governance of rural human settlements.
