As a multi-ethnic country, the study of ethnic relations has always been an important part of China’s ethnic work, and the relationship between Mongolia and Han ethnic groups is the important part of China’s ethnic relations. The exchange and integration of all ethnic groups is an important theory put forward by the Party and the state in the new era to promote the relationship between all ethnic groups, and is the main goal and important content of China’s ethnic work. The study of ethnic relations from the perspective of communication and integration of all ethnic groups has important theoretical and practical significance for strengthening the common unity and struggle of all ethnic groups, common prosperity and development, building a common spiritual home and forging a strong sense of Chinese national community.Based on this, this paper selects Hailasitu village as a field site, adopts the method of combining field research, questionnaire survey and literature research, and takes the Marxist theory of ethnic relations and the theory of the pluralistic integration of the Chinese nation as the perspective to study the communication, exchange and integration of the Mongolian and Han ethnic groups in this village. The purpose is to provide case references and practical experience for various ethnic groups in other ethnic regions through a microscopic study of the communication, exchange, and integration of the village Mongolian and Han ethnic groups,in order to further promote the high-quality development of ethnic work in China.Firstly,on the basis of introducing the overview of the village, the current situation of communication and integration between the Mongolian and Han ethnic groups was analyzed from political, economic, and cultural perspectives.Secondly, based on the current investigation, the driving mechanisms affecting the exchange and integration of Mongolian and Han ethnic groups, such as residential patterns, emotional attitudes, and ethnic policies, were explained. Finally,an analysis was conducted on potential issues such as the need to strengthen the promotion of ethnic policies for the exchange and integration of Mongolian and Han ethnic groups, the need to improve economic development imbalance, and awareness of a community for fhe Chinese nation needs to be strengthened.Corresponding strategies were proposed to adhere to the implementation of the Party’s ethnic policies, accelerate economic development in ethnic areas, and strengthen recognition of Chinese culture. This study believes that the Mongolian and Han ethnic groups in Hailasitu village have conducted deep or shallow exchanges and exchanges in economic production, language, customs and marriage on the basis of mutual respect, mutual help and mutual learning, and formed an ethnic relationship characterized by equality, solidarity, mutual assistance and harmony. This fully proves that promoting the exchange and integration of all ethnic groups is an effective practical path for the comprehensive governance of ethnic affairs, and is a theoretical choice in line with the actual situation of all ethnic groups in China. Therefore,we should firmly and comprehensively implement the Party’s ethnic policy and continue to strengthen the exchanges and integration of all ethnic groups.
