Research On The Demand For Infant Care Services In Jiangsu Province From The Perspective Of Both Supply And Demand

With the implementation of the three-child family planning policy in China,providing highquality childcare services for infants aged 0-3 has become one of the important supporting measures for childbearing.As an emerging service industry,childcare services will have an important impact on many aspects of the national economy and people’s livelihood in the future.As a strong province of social and economic development and education in China,Jiangsu Province has also issued documents such as the Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Development of Care Services for Infants and Young Children under the Age of 3 to actively respond to national policies,aiming to promote the healthy and standardized development of care services for infants and young children aged 0-3,effectively solve the problem of care for infants and young children,and promote the fertility.Therefore,it is urgent to understand the current situation of childcare service supply in Jiangsu Province,as well as the childcare needs of different groups of people,so as to provide decision-making basis for meeting the people’s growing demand for a better life and building a highquality childcare service system.This paper integrated different methods to explore the current supply and use of childcare services in Jiangsu Province,and analyze the public demand for childcare.The details are as follows:a total of 547 Chinese documents and 2675 foreign documents were retrieved through CNKI and the Web of Science platform,and the collected documents were analyzed by Cite Space software for the time series of the volume of documents,keyword analysis to explore the current academic research status and hot issues in the field of childcare services;Through the network crawling data,a total of16702 text review data were crawled to analyze the network public opinion of childcare services,understand the current discussion focus of childcare services and the views of the public on childcare services;At the same time,through the questionnaire survey,a total of 3697 valid questionnaires of residents in Jiangsu Province were collected,and the questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive statistics,cluster analysis and other methods to analyze the use of childcare services and the demand and supply of childcare services of the respondents;Chi-square test and logistic regression were used to explore the impact of sample characteristics and current situation of childcare on childcare needs;The non-parametric test was used to explore the influencing factors of childcare preference,and the structural equation model was used to explore the relationship between supply and demand.Based on the analysis of multiple sources of data,the conclusions are as follows: China’s childcare service is still in its infancy,and the service policy system still needs to be improved;The utilization rate of childcare services is not high,and there is an urgent need to develop inclusive childcare services;The demand for childcare is diversified,and the price of childcare services exceeds the expectation of the masses;The supply and demand of childcare services interact with each other,and the supply of childcare services is difficult to meet the demand.Finally,according to the survey results,relevant suggestions are put forward.From the perspective of the government: implement diversified social support to help the development of childcare institutions;Strengthen the supervision of the service quality of childcare institutions to ease the worries behind;Develop vocational education and train professional talents.From the perspective of childcare institutions: childcare service institutions operate in a wrong way to realize diversified supply to meet different needs;Improve the early education system to ensure the environment,safety and quality of early education;Improve the strength of teachers,integrate social resources,and help infants thrive.From the perspective of parents,change the concept of childcare and believe in the professional ability of childcare institutions in infant care;Comprehensively consider the family situation and reasonably position the demand for childcare services;Utilize the intelligent childcare platform to carry out family mutual-aid childcare and realize resource sharing.
