Research On The Spring Tillage Movement In Taihang Anti-japanese Base Area

During the Anti Japanese War,the Taihang Base Area,as an important base for the anti Japanese war behind the enemy lines in North China,was located in the hinterland of the Shanxi Hebei Shandong Henan Border Region,and had an important strategic position.However,due to its location in the hilly Taihang Mountains,most areas are surrounded by mountains,thick rocks,thin soil,and poor land,resulting in low efficiency and material scarcity of traditional farming models;In addition,during the war,the Japanese army’s frantic mopping up,the Kuomintang’s economic blockade,and frequent attacks of natural disasters made the economy in the base areas even more impoverished,agriculture damaged,and food was in a critical shortage.The lives of the anti Japanese military and people were in an extremely difficult situation.In order to increase grain production,solve military and civilian food problems,and support the anti Japanese front line,under the leadership of the CPC,the local government organized the masses to carry out a vigorous spring plowing campaign,increasing the area of cultivated land in many ways,reducing disasters,building water conservancy,actively promoting agricultural production,and developing special sidelines according to local conditions.This not only enabled the agricultural production in the Taihang Anti Japanese Base Area to increase continuously,but also improved the livelihood of farmers;Moreover,the CPC has established its credibility in the Taihang military and civilian neutrality,greatly enhancing the cohesion and appeal of the CPC in the anti Japanese military and civilian,and laying a certain material foundation,ideological identity and mass strength for consolidating the regime in the base areas.This article mainly analyzes the spring plowing movement in the Taihang Anti Japanese Base Area from five aspects: The first aspect analyzes the social and ecological environment during the spring plowing movement in the base area from both the natural environment and social conditions,and on this basis,carefully combs the importance and necessity of carrying out the spring plowing movement in the Taihang Anti Japanese Base Area.The second aspect is to conduct an empirical analysis of the preparations for the Spring Farming Movement in the Taihang Anti Japanese Base Area from the aspects of leadership mechanisms,management institutions set up,and actual difficulties faced by the preparation of farmland,based on historical facts.The third aspect elaborates the specific practical path of the spring plowing movement in categories: first,increase the area of cultivated land through land reclamation and development and paddy field reclamation projects,and vigorously develop agricultural production;The second is to make efforts to ensure self-sufficiency in food and vegetables through sowing activities such as early sowing,carrying water for planting,replanting after rain,and rushing to seed;Third,by developing animal husbandry,planting cash crops,and launching characteristic sidelines,we can open up financial resources,increase farmers’ income,and improve people’s lives.The fourth party conducted in-depth exploration of deviations arising from the spring plowing movement,and guided by this,comprehensively analyzed the countermeasures and suggestions proposed by the Taihang Anti Japanese Democratic Government and the development achievements achieved therefrom from the aspects of forming comprehensive and powerful leadership,establishing correct ideological concepts,and implementing a series of policies beneficial to agriculture and benefiting farmers;The fifth aspect summarizes the beneficial experiences and lessons gained in the spring plowing movement based on the historical facts mentioned above.On this basis,combined with the characteristics of agricultural development in the new era in China,the historical significance and enlightenment of the spring plowing movement in the Taihang Anti Japanese Base Area were explored.In a word,in the era of smoke of gunpowder and flames of war,the CPC organized and led the army and the people in the vast base areas to carry out the spring plowing movement,which opened up a broad way of production and life for the people in the base areas,and played a very huge role in reducing the burden of the masses,ensuring military supplies and food for the people,improving people’s lives,resolving the economic difficulties in the base areas,and breaking the economic blockade in the war zones.Although there have been some problems in the specific practice process,the Taihang Anti Japanese Democratic Government has led the people to overcome difficulties,actively summarized experiences and lessons,constantly blazed new trails,braved
