Research On Grain Trade In The Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area

Grains were the important material foundation for the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and were the strategic materials for which both the enemy and our army strive.Deng Xiaoping pointed out,“Experience tells us that whoever has foodstuffs has everything.” grain trade was a key link of foodstuffs circulation and exchange,and it played a significant strategic supporting role in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.The grain trade policies implemented by the Communist Party of China in the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area not only made a positive contribution to the consolidation of the base and the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression but also accumulated valuable experience for solving the following grain-related problems.This paper uses the Marxist Theory to make a systematic investigation on the grain trade of the Communist Party of China in the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area.First comes the analysis of the specific situation of grain in the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area.This paper expounds on the development history of the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area and the differences in grain production and circulation before and after the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.Second,this paper focuses on the grain market management of the Resistance Base.It systematically elaborates on the institutions of foodstuffs trade,economic policies and grain policies,and foodstuffs market management.Third,this paper discusses the specific measures of grain trade in the Resistance Base.It explains in detail the specific measures of grain trade in the Resistance Base from three aspects: strengthening the governance and control of grain,making great efforts to increase grain output,and exerting the lever effect of grain in finance.Finally,this paper summarizes the characteristics and functions of the grain trade in the Resistance Base.The results show that the grain trade in the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area had prominent characteristics and made remarkable achievements and that there was still some room for improvement.Through grain trade,the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area not only ensured the material security and stability and the grain security of people inside the base but also formed a set of market economy operation modes both inside and outside the base that provided strong support for the development of the base and the supply of grain.Nowadays,grains are still the foundation of human survival.It is an eternal task to ensure the foodstuffs security of our country and we should spare no effort to fulfill this task.Only with sufficient grain can people live a stable and happy life.As long as we adhere to the path of grain security with Chinese characteristics and hold the bottom line of ensuring national foodstuffs security,we will always be able to keep more than 1.4 billion people full of grain.In this way,we can effectively solve grain-related problems to establish a solid foundation for high-quality economic and social development.
