A Study On The Operation Mechanism Of Village Power In The Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area Of The Communist Party Of China

The Communist Party of China made great efforts in the 14 years of the Anti-Japanese War and eventually led the Chinese people to win a great victory.Looking back at the history of the war,the people of the old Taihang area withstood all kinds of harsh tests,under the leadership of the CPC,gradually established,consolidated,and developed the Taihang Anti-Japanese base.Taihang Anti-Japanese base is located in North China’s important mountain range Taihang,the strategic position is very important.And the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China North Bureau and the Eight Route Army headquarters were stationed for a long time,so the Japanese invaders attach great importance to the base area.Also,the base area often subjected to harassment and enemy attack.However,the soldiers and people of Taihang were not afraid of hardships,and while persisting in the heroic struggle for a long time,they did not forget to consolidate and develop the work of the base area,and finally relied on the growing base area to achieve the great victory of the Anti-Japanese war,laying a solid and realistic foundation for the complete victory of China’s new democratic revolution.The Communist Party of China had always paid great attention to the construction work of the base areas.This paper analyzes the political and social background of the Taihang area before the war.It discusses a series of transformation works carried out by the CPC in the Taihang Anti-Japanese base area,especially the village universal suffrage work,from the early to the late stage,to prove the critical role of the CPC’s village power transformation work in the Taihang area in the development of China’s future grassroots power.This article consists of five parts.The first part mainly elaborates on this paper’s selected topic-related background and the current situation of academic research.The second part introduces the social background and political ecology of Taihang area before the Anti-Japanese war.The third part is mainly about the village regime in Taihang area before the Anti-japanese war,collectes the basic situation of the old village power in the Taihang area at the late Qing dynasty and the early of the Republic of China,the changes of village power during Yan Xishan’s domination and the transformation of the old village power in the early days of the CPC’s entry into Taihang area.The fourth part is the formal transformation of the village government in Taihang area,including the implementation of the“Three-Three System”and the implementation of universal suffrage at the village level;The fifth part is the historical significance and modern enlightenment of the village regime reform.As one of the most important post-enemy Anti-Japanese bases in North China,the Taihang Anti-Japanese base always adhered to the flesh and blooded ties with the masses of the Anti-Japanese people and strictly abided by the correct instructions of the Party Central Committee while leading the masses to resolutely resist the war and built the base.The practice of transforming village power in the Taihang Anti-Japanese base area by the Communist Party of China has important historical and practical significance for the construction of grassroots power in China nowadays.It not only helped the CPC consolidated the base areas,promoted their construction and development,and ultimately achieved a great victory in the Anti-Japanese war,but also profoundly changed the political landscape at the grassroots level in China,and provided a template and experience for the construction of grassroots power in the new China in the future.
