| The spatiotemporal evolution of rural population refers to the changes in the rural population’s number, distribution, and structure over time and space. This process includes changes in the total rural population, the geographical distribution pattern of the rural population, and demographic characteristics such as age, gender, and educational level. The spatiotemporal evolution of rural population is influenced by various factors, including economic, social, cultural, and environmental factors. With the promotion of the rural revitalization strategy, the spatiotemporal evolution of rural population has presented new characteristics and trends, making it essential to formulate rural development strategies and urban planning. The changes in the number, age structure, and educational level of the rural population profoundly impact the development of the rural economy and agricultural production.Furthermore, the evolution of the spatial and temporal pattern of rural population has an impact on social governance, public services, and other aspects. Therefore,it is necessary to formulate targeted policies that promote rural economic development and agricultural modernization, while strengthening policy research and formulation to ensure the stability and sustainable development of rural society Jiangxi Province is a major province of rural population migration in the central region.Studying its spatial pattern evolution and influencing factors not only helps to deeply understand the situation in this region but also provides useful insights for analyzing the evolution of rural population spatial and temporal patterns in other regions.Hence,it is crucial to conduct comprehensive research on the spatiotemporal evolution of rural population, including its influencing factors and characteristics,to provide a scientific basis for policy-making and rural development. This study is divided into two parts, which respectively study the spatial evolution characteristics, change trends, structural characteristics, spatial patterns, and influencing factors of rural population in Jiangxi Province. The aim is to reveal the spatial distribution patterns and driving factors of rural population changes, providing scientific basis for regional population development and economic policies,as well as guiding the rational and orderly migration and flow of rural population.Firstly,in the first part of the study, the author utilized data from the "Five Popularizations","Six Popularizations",and "Seven Popularizations",as well as data from the Jiangxi Provincial Statistical Yearbook. The study focused on rural population in Jiangxi Province, using spatial statistical analysis and spatial autocorrelation analysis methods, and using Arc GIS tools to explore issues such as rural population size, structure, and spatial patterns.Secondly,in the second part of the study, based on previous research findings on the factors affecting the spatiotemporal distribution of rural population, the author utilized data from the Jiangxi Provincial Statistical Yearbook and the China Rural Statistical Yearbook, and used qualitative and quantitative research methods to conduct in-depth analysis of the influencing factors that led to changes in the spatial distribution of rural population in Jiangxi Province.Among them, qualitative research mainly includes three aspects: natural factors, economic factors and policy factors.Quantitative research uses principal component analysis, least squares(OLS)regression, and spatial econometric regression methods to conduct quantitative analysis on six aspects: urban and rural economic level, agricultural modernization level, transportation convenience, urban medical and community service level, urban basic education resource coverage, and rural basic education resource coverage. The analysis is further refined into per capita GDP,average wage of enterprise employees Income gap between urban and rural areas, rural electricity consumption, net amount of agricultural fertilizer application, total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery created by each agricultural labor force, primary industry output value, effective irrigation area, road operating mileage, urban community service facilities, urban hospitals, number of urban hospital admissions, number of urban primary school students, number of urban middle school students, number of urban high school students, and number of rural primary school students Using 19 indicators, namely the number of middle school students in rural areas and the number of high school students in rural areas,to conduct empirical research and gain a deeper understanding of the impact of various factors on the spatial distribution of rural population in Jiangxi Province. Finally, based on empirical results and theoretical analysis,it is proposed to:(1)adjust industrial structure and create employment opportunities.(2)Improve education level and strengthen skill training.(3)Policy recommendations for vigorously developing rural economy and improving economic level. |
