With the arrival of the digital age, media technology and algorithms are increasingly influencing the international political competition situation.Intelligent algorithms are changing the communication pattern and also profoundly affecting international political security.Intelligent information manipulation based on social media platforms, involving a mixed participation of multiple entities to interfere with political opinion, and penetrating the national security system layer by layer through the ideological field, seriously threatening domestic political stability and international political order.Social robots,as an important representative means of computational propaganda, have become an undeniable factor affecting national security. The security risks and hidden dangers they bring have become increasingly prominent in China. However, the current research on the manipulation mechanism of social robots has not been systematically sorted out,and research on how social robots incite emotions and affect national security is even rarer,Therefore, clarifying the emotional transmission mechanism of social robots from the perspective of computational propaganda is of great significance for national security work.Based on the review of existing research trends, this article summarizes the background, elements, and processes of emotional communication in social robots, clarifies the safety risks and hidden dangers of emotional communication in social robots, and evolves the emotional communication mechanism of social robots through case studies. The research first obtained the public opinion data of the Russia-Ukraine conflict event in 2022 through self-designed Java code program, and then used Botometer to detect the identity status of relevant accounts and screen out hidden robot users.Subsequently, text analysis and sentiment analysis techniques were used to conduct a more in-depth analysis of the operational characteristics, specific processes, and general laws of emotional communication carried out by social robots. The study found that in the process of public opinion fermentation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict,a certain number of social robots participated in the dissemination of issues.Firstly, social robots awaken real users’ emotions by embedding corresponding emotional memes in the early stages of the issue.Secondly, robots establish connections with the target audience by imitating human users and infecting the target audience on a large scale.During the process of public opinion fermentation, social robots gather users with the same emotions through media platform rules, using tags, topics, and other forms to complete emotional aggregation. Finally,by creating disputes, provoking opposition, intensifying conflicts, and triggering actions,a cycle of online and offline mobilization is formed.Based on the above emotional communication process and empirical analysis,it is found that social robots mainly enter the communication network through shaping the subject, creating humanoid characters, constructing identity boundaries, and inputting structural emotional triggers; At the same time, using false information as irrational factors, forming content detachment, stimulating structural tension, and strengthening beliefs;Boost with algorithms and platforms to achieve efficient and accurate information diffusion;Design triggering events in the proposed scenario to stimulate structural loss of control. In response to the above conclusions, this article proposes that an early warning mode should be set up during the emotional arousal stage, while improving the review system to block emotional infection, break through the emotional circle layer through broken circle interaction, and finally construct a counseling mechanism to prevent emotional outbreaks,in order to cope with the safety impact brought by the emotional transmission of social robots. |
