Study On The Influence Of Digital Literacy Of Farmers On Their Participation In Digital Rural Governance In Shangqiu City

The implementation of Rural revitalization strategy and the promotion of digital rural governance reform are of great significance in promoting the common prosperity and development of all people,and the relationship between them cannot be ignored,and they play a crucial role in building a harmonious society and enhancing the level of agricultural economic development.At present,China is in a period of great social restructuring,and the urban-rural dualistic structure still exists.Under such circumstances,how to improve the digital literacy of the masses of farmers and make them actively integrate into the construction of digital rural governance is an urgent problem to be solved.This paper takes Shangqiu city in Henan Province as an example and collects data through a combination of questionnaire and interview methods.In this paper,a digital literacy assessment index system including digital general literacy,digital social literacy,digital creative literacy,and digital security literacy was constructed,based on "party education","village management",and "democratic supervision",A comprehensive analysis of the current situation of digital village governance was conducted based on "Party education","village management" and "democratic supervision",and the farmers’ participation in digital village governance was discussed in depth from these three aspects.The survey data of 287 households in Shangqiu City were used to empirically test the effect of farmers’ digital literacy on digital rural governance.A reliability validity analysis was conducted,and a multiple linear regression model using principal component analysis was used to study the factors influencing farmers’ digital literacy on digital rural governance participation in Shangqiu city.The results showed that farmers’ digital general literacy,digital social literacy,digital security literacy,and digital creative literacy all significantly and positively predicted the willingness to participate in digital rural governance,controlling for other variables.The overall digital literacy and participation in digital rural governance of farmers in rural Shangqiu City were less favorable."Digital literacy" has a significant positive effect on digital rural governance.This study can help Shangqiu city government to understand more about farmers’ digital literacy,which can have a positive effect on improving farmers’ income,enriching farmers’ life and building a civilized countryside.Based on the above conclusions,the following suggestions are made:strengthen infrastructure construction to narrow the regional gap;increase education investment and focus on talent cultivation;improve laws and regulations and sound institutional system;strengthen ideological leadership and change traditional concepts;enhance subject awareness and stimulate endogenous motivation.
