Research On Volunteer Service Participation In Urban Community Governance

Social governance includes many fields,and society consists of many communities.Community governance is an important governance scope of social governance,and the focus of social governance is community governance.As the basic unit of social governance,community governance undertakes the functions of management,service,education,culture,security,and integration.In the process of transformation of government functions,the urban community governance system has gradually become open and scientific,with multiple governance entities,flexible governance methods,comprehensive governance content,and significant governance effects.As an emerging governance force,voluntary service has gradually emerged as an advantage in participating in community governance.Understanding the difficulties encountered by voluntary service in participating in urban community governance can help effectively develop voluntary service and maximize its effectiveness in participating in urban community governance.This can not only solve the lack of voluntary service participation and urban community governance challenges,but also help improve the governance level of urban communities,Promote the modernization of the national governance system and capacity.This study takes voluntary service in community X of Zhengzhou City as the research object,based on governance theory and using qualitative research methods,describes the current situation of voluntary service in community X,discusses the content,methods,and effectiveness of voluntary service participation in community governance,and finds that the main problems in the process of voluntary service participation in community governance in community X are that the subjective awareness of voluntary service participation in community governance needs to be improved,and the service content is formalistic and lacks pertinence,There are insufficient professional projects and funds for voluntary services to participate in community governance.The reasons for the problems are that the rights and responsibilities of various governance entities in the community are unclear,social work institutions and community social organizations are too dependent on the government,resulting in insufficient development capacity,as well as insufficient participation awareness and ability of residents.Combining governance theory,to solve the problems of voluntary service participation in community governance,we should provide suggestions and suggestions from the following four dimensions:voluntary service participation in community governance requires the joint participation of multiple subjects,the government strengthens legal system protection,increases financial support,and community social organizations play their own advantages to enhance their independent development capabilities;Volunteer service participation in community governance requires strengthening the professional construction of volunteer service,innovating the content of volunteer service,and improving the quality of volunteer service;Volunteer service participation in community governance requires cultivating the spirit of volunteerism,building a project based brand of volunteerism,and promoting the sustainability of volunteerism;Volunteer service participation in community governance requires coordinated governance by all participating entities,promoting the volunteer model led by social workers,transforming volunteers into community backbone,giving play to the main role of community residents,and creating a harmonious governance situation.Only through unity and collaboration among various governance entities,and through consultation and joint governance,can we build a normalized operational mechanism for voluntary service participation in community governance,mobilize more volunteers to participate in community services,and continue to promote the professional,standardized,and long-term development of voluntary service participation in community governance.
