Study On The Influence Of The Work Study Movement In France On China’s Early Modernization Process

The work study movement in France is an important historical event in the history of the Communist Party of China and modern Chinese history.It has a profound impact on the development and progress of modern Chinese society and the early modernization process of China.Over the years,many achievements have been made in the research on the work study movement in France.However,looking at the existing research achievements in the academic circle,most of them focus on the macro historical facts and the identification and dissemination of Marxism by the movement groups or individuals.The research perspective is relatively simple and lacks in-depth research.Especially,the research on the relationship between the work study movement in France and China’s early modernization process is rare.Therefore,based on the existing research results,from the perspective of revolution and modernization,starting with the origin of the work study movement in France,this paper combs the historical process of the work study movement in France in detail,systematically analyzes the practical activities of the movement and the ideological transformation of the students studying in France,and discusses the internal relationship between the work study movement in France and the early modernization process of China,objective evaluation of the impact of the work study program in France on China’s early modernization process with a view to triggering deeper theoretical thinking.The first part of the paper analyzes the origin,development and decline of the work study movement in France.The origin and decline of the work study movement in France was due to the influence of the current situation and political situation in China,the awakening of patriotic youth’s national consciousness and the promotion of Chinese and French people from all walks of life.The second part expounds the main political activities of the work study movement in France and the ideological changes of the students in France.During their stay in France,the students studying hard for work and frugal education gradually awakened their revolutionary struggle consciousness by participating in the three major movements,organizing the World Society of Work and Learning,establishing newspapers and magazines and other political activities,and recognized and accepted communist ideas such as "labor dictatorship","historical materialism",and "violent revolution" in the organization and participation of political activities,realizing the ideological transformation from non Marxism to Marxism.The third part discusses the influence and historical limitation of the work study movement in France on China’s early modernization process.On the one hand,it fully affirmed the role of the work study movement in France in promoting China’s early modernization process in terms of the choice of revolutionary road,political mobilization and party building;On the other hand,it analyzes the limitations of the movement’s role in promoting China’s early modernization under the "stimulus response" model,so as to analyze the relationship between the work study movement in France and China’s early modernization from an objective and dialectical perspective.In a word,studying the impact of the work study movement in France on China’s early modernization process is not only conducive to deepening the study of the "prehistory" of China’s modernization process in theory,but also conducive to further promoting the construction of Chinese path to modernization in the new era in practice.
