The Effect Of Socioeconomic Status On Life Satisfaction

Life satisfaction is one of the most intuitive indicators reflecting people’s living conditions.It has always been the core concern of the government and the focus of academic research.In recent years,the Party committees and governments at all levels of the Tibet Autonomous Region have always grasped the starting point and goal of improving people’s livelihood and rallying people,strengthened the awareness of the development of people’s livelihood,highlighted the priorities of the development of people’s livelihood,and implemented measures to improve people’s livelihood.Based on this background,this study finds that socioeconomic status has an increasingly significant impact on life satisfaction after reviewing relevant literature and theories,and improving life satisfaction through socioeconomic status has become a current research hotspot.Accordingly,this study will be discussed from the following aspects:First of all,based on the theories of social stratification,social support,welfare economics and so on,the measurement dimensions of socio-economic status and life satisfaction are divided by field survey method.Among them,occupational status,educational status and economic income status of socio-economic status are interdependent,and employment satisfaction of life satisfaction is the basis of life satisfaction.Income satisfaction is the guarantee of life satisfaction.Combined with Maslow’s demand theory and ethnic theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics,this paper analyzes the subsistence needs of farmers and herdsmen,and makes clear the consumption and residence measurement dimensions of life satisfaction.According to the relevant dimensions of theoretical carding and summary,seven aspects of the economic life of farmers and herdsmen are analyzed,tracing back to the source,clarifying the problems,and applying the right medicine.Secondly,with the support of relevant theories and academic achievements,this paper analyzes the influencing mechanism of socioeconomic status on life satisfaction,and finds that the effect of socioeconomic status on life satisfaction is not a simple direct effect,but an intermediary role of income change,equity,core consumption pressure,etc.However,there is no mediating variable in residence satisfaction and employment satisfaction.Based on the combination of norms and empirical methods,this study uses the ordered probit model to verify the influence mechanism,and finds that socioeconomic status does have such an impact on life satisfaction,and solutions to current problems can also be found through data changes.Finally,in view of the problems in the current situation,the empirical results of this study draw the following conclusions and relevant policy recommendations.The conclusions are as follows: first,there is a deviation between the subjective and objective socio-economic status of farmers and herdsmen,and the socio-economic status of farmers and herdsmen exists "deviation" phenomenon;Second,there are differences between subjective and objective life satisfaction of farmers and herdsmen;Third,socio-economic status has a positive impact on life satisfaction,that is,farmers and herdsmen can further improve their life satisfaction by improving their socio-economic status;Fourth,the influence of objective socioeconomic status on subjective life satisfaction is deeper than that of objective life satisfaction.Fifth,the influence degree of subjective socioeconomic status on subjective life satisfaction is shallower than that of objective life satisfaction.Sixth,the social and economic status of farmers and herdsmen has a changing trend of " decreasing first and then increasing" in the improvement of their life satisfaction.Relevant policy suggestions are as follows: first,the perception "deviation" of farmers and herdsmenshould be alleviated through the institutional level to guarantee the equal rights of farmers and herdsmen in development;Second,accurately grasp the spiritual needs of farmers and herdsmen,enrich the cultural construction of farming and pastoral areas,and guarantee their right to "live and work in peace and contentment";The third is to expand the income of farmers and herdsmen,adjust the income distribution,improve the income satisfaction of farmers and herdsmen;Fourth,popularize vocational education,improve the vocational skills of farmers and herdsmen,and improve the employment satisfaction of farmers and herdsmen;Fifth,promote infrastructure construction,improve the living environment of farmers and herdsmen,increase their satisfaction with living,expand infrastructure construction,strengthen ecological pollution control and supervision,ensure a livable and comfortable living environment for farmers and herdsmen,and improve their living conditions.
