The formation of the maternity leave system depends on the policy background of family planning as the basic national policy. After nearly 70 years of adjustment, the maternity leave system gradually tends to be perfect, but its main framework still has the characteristics of the one-child period, and the adaptability between it and the new birth policy is not high, which is easy to lead to maternity leave disputes.Maternity leave policy,as one of the important supporting policies of maternity policy, provides mothers with a certain period of leave to help them to make prenatal adjustment and postpartum recovery, which is an important factor affecting women’s postpartum experience and fertility intention. After the introduction of the new birth policy, all provinces have tried to extend maternity leave to improve women’s fertility intention, but a large extension of maternity leave will squeeze women’s working time and cause occupational gender discrimination. Therefore,in order to protect women’s rights and interests,it is necessary to understand the actual demand of different professional women for the length of maternity leave and their satisfaction with the current length of maternity leave,so as to provide scientific and reasonable suggestions for improving the maternity leave system.Women’s satisfaction with the length of maternity leave is affected by a variety of factors.Existing literature studies on the influencing factors of the length of maternity leave satisfaction mainly focus on demographic factors.Combined with previous studies,it is found that we should pay more attention to the demand of women in low socioeconomic status and women with high family values for maternity leave and whether their rights and interests are guaranteed. Therefore, this thesis uses the gap between the actual length of maternity leave and the ideal length of maternity leave reported by professional women to measure women’s satisfaction with the length of maternity leave.According to the research requirements, questionnaires were designed and structural equation models were constructed, and 404 valid questionnaires were collected through the questionnaire survey. The results showed that 22.2% of women were dissatisfied with the current length of maternity leave, while 35.9% were moderately satisfied. The length of maternity leave satisfaction is positively correlated with socioeconomic status, and negatively correlated with family values. The higher the socioeconomic status, the longer the actual length of maternity leave; The higher the family values, the shorter the ideal length of maternity leave. Finally, according to the research results, scientific and reasonable suggestions are put forward to improve the current maternity leave system to protect the rights and interests of women with low socioeconomic status, meet the needs of women with different family values for maternity leave, and improve the length of maternity leave satisfaction of professional women.
