The auxiliary police in China first appeared in the economically developed southern region,initially inspired by the western auxiliary police system.In the current environment of the serious shortage of police force in the grass-roots traffic police force,in order to effectively solve the outstanding problems such as insufficient police force,and further alleviate the contradiction between the needs of public security work and the limited number of police force,a special group is created,which is the public recruitment of police auxiliary personnel by the local public security organ and the human resources and social security department,The employment mode of contract system is adopted after employment.The auxiliary police do not have the police qualification,but assist the police work,which is an indispensable force in the public security team.Since the generation of the auxiliary police team,it has played an important role in assisting the public security police to carry out law enforcement and maintain public security,and has made outstanding contributions,while undertaking a lot of basic work.A large number of auxiliary police can be seen in the investigation and handling of traffic violations,unblocking and ensuring smooth traffic,security tasks,window services,publicity and explanation.It can be said that under the current police force configuration,the work of grass-roots public security cannot be carried out without the efforts of the auxiliary police comrades.However,due to the imperfection of the incentive mechanism and management methods in the public security auxiliary police team at present,some auxiliary police are not enthusiastic about their work.In this context,it is easy for the auxiliary police to slack off.At the same time,in the context of the current public security reform,in the face of such practical problems as the unclear legal status and unclear authority of the auxiliary police force,how the Lanzhou Public Security Traffic Police combine the actual situation to take effective policies and management measures to encourage the auxiliary police to improve their initiative and enthusiasm has become a practical problem to be studied and solved.This paper takes the traffic assistant police of Lanzhou Public Security Bureau as the research object,and uses questionnaire survey and interview to collect data to complete the research.Combined with the analysis method,the problems and defects of the incentive mechanism of Lanzhou traffic assistant police are analyzed in depth,and the problems and causes are analyzed in detail based on the two-factor theory.The current incentive mechanism of Lanzhou traffic assistant police is analyzed and explored from the aspects of health care factors and incentive factors,and the optimization path of the incentive mechanism of Lanzhou traffic assistant police is explored on the basis of the analysis of the causes and current situation,Further improve and optimize the incentive system of traffic assistant police of Lanzhou Public Security Bureau.
