| At present, the aging situation in China is becoming more and more serious, and is now gradually moving towards a heavily aging society. With the increase of the elderly population, the demand for senior care services is increasing, and the number and scale of senior care institutions are showing a rapid development trend, which also puts forward higher requirements for the construction of senior care institutions. As the physical function of the elderly declines with age, they are more and more dependent on the environment they live in,and different elderly institutions have different habitat environments, which may affect the quality of life of the elderly. This paper analyzes the internal relationship between the habitat environment and the quality of life of the elderly in elderly institutions, and explores the factors that really affect the quality of life of elderly residents in elderly institutions,so as to optimize the habitat environment of elderly institutions and improve the quality of life of the elderly. In this paper,a preliminary factor decomposition of the habitat environment of elderly institutions and the quality of life of the elderly is conducted through literature analysis, which divides the habitat environment of elderly institutions into three main aspects: space management, building services, and auxiliary facilities, and subdivides these three aspects into a total of seven independent variables, namely, room distance, space size, living conditions, safety management, furniture arrangement, health management, recreation and medical facilities, respectively;the The quality of life of the elderly was divided into three dependent variables: physical health, mental health, and overall quality of life.A conceptual model of the relationship was developed based on the hypothesis of the relationship between the different variables. And then,by using post-evaluation(POE)method,questionnaires were designed and field research was conducted in three different elderly facilities in Jining, and finally factor analysis, reliability test and structural equation modeling were applied to decompose and reduce the dimensionality of the factors and establish the final relationship model.Through the analysis of the structural equation model of habitat-quality of life,it was concluded that the sanitary management, recreational and medical facilities in the institutions have a significant positive impact on the physiological health of the elderly,i.e.,the better the sanitary management, the more comprehensive the recreational and medical facilities, the more positive the impact on the quality of life of the elderly;while the space, furniture arrangement, sanitary management, recreational and medical facilities in the institutions have a positive impact on the quality of life of the elderly. With regard to the overall quality of life of the elderly, the five independent variables of space size, furniture arrangement, hygiene management, recreational and medical facilities, and safety management will have a corresponding impact on it.This paper explores the relationship between the habitat environment and the quality of life of elderly residents in elderly institutions in a multi-dimensional way,and obtains the most suitable living environment for the elderly, which further enriches the theoretical system of elderly institutions service research in China, complements the academic research on the internal relationship between the two,and promotes the orderly promotion of active aging in China and the construction of a more perfect elderly service system. |
