If education is prosperous,the country is prosperous,and a strong education is a strong country.Developing fair and quality education is the basic orientation of China’s educational reform and development and promoting equity in urban and rural education is a key part of promoting social equity in China.The Marxist concept of educational fairness is an important part of the Marxist theoretical system,which is a great leap in the history of human educational fairness and has an important guiding role in the practice of educational fairness in China.At present,there is still a big gap between urban and rural education in China,and in 2020,the average number of years of education in cities in China is 10.94 years,and the average number of years of education in rural areas is 7.94 years,and the average number of years of education in urban and rural areas is 3 years.Moreover,with the continuous development of urbanization,the rural population continues to shift to the town,resulting in many migrant children and rural left-behind children’s education problems that need to be solved urgently.Based on the main contents of the Marxist concept of educational equity,this paper makes a theoretical analysis of the problem of equitable development of urban and rural education in China and its causes and puts forward the path of narrowing the gap between urban and rural education and promoting the equity of urban and rural education,to realize the comprehensive development of human freedom because of adhering to the people-centered strategic height.The research content of this paper is divided into the following four parts.The first part is the introduction.It mainly puts forward research questions,clarifies the research background,research significance,domestic and foreign research literature review,research ideas,research methods and innovation points.The second part is the theoretical explanation of the Marxist concept of educational fairness,which lays a theoretical foundation for the research of this paper.The third part provides a descriptive analysis of the main problems in urban and rural education in China,including the current situation in three aspects: educational starting point,educational process,and educational outcome.The fourth part is guided by the basic requirements and realization conditions of the Marxist concept of educational fairness,and in view of the current problems existing in urban and rural education in China,it analyzes the causes of the gap between urban and rural education from the objective economic factors,educational concept factors,policy system factors,and legal guarantee factors.The fifth part is guided by the value of the Marxist concept of educational fairness,combined with the reasons analyzed in the previous chapter,and puts forward countermeasures to solve the problem of urban and rural education equity from four levels: building a high-quality education system,integrating educational resources from all parties,improving the legal guaranteed system for education,and adhering to the people-oriented education concept.
