With the continuous advancement of the urbanization process in our country, the structure of urban housing and social environment have taken a profound change, and the resulting crime problems have brought great challenges to urban management, which has brought obvious resistance for the steady and orderly development of society. As a typical crime of financial invasion, burglary has the characteristics of high incidence rate, strong evolution and high degree of social harm, which poses a serious threat to people’s life and property safety. Therefore,an in-depth study of the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics of burglary and its influencing factors is of great significance for the prevention and control of burglary in a scientific and efficient manner and the improvement of municipal social governance ability.Burglary is the target of property in a specific dwelling.Previous studies have discussed the influence of different housing types, residential land distribution and social environment on the spatial pattern of urban burglary. In terms of theoretical explanation,Wilcox and other scholars put forward the view of "places in the neighborhood" by integrating the theory of daily activities and the theory of social disorder, and thought that the criminals’ chances of committing crimes in a specific place were not only affected by the nature of the place itself, but also by the social environment in which they lived. However, there was no systematic empirical study on this view in China. As far as burglary is concerned, the literature seldom takes into account the differences in informal social control brought by migrants under the background of China’s rapid city, and its regulating effect on the relationship between different housing types and burglary; Moreover,it does not take into account the influence of social environment changes brought about by coupling residential land with different functions on the spatial pattern of burglary; In addition, most of the existing studies discuss the regulating effect of the interaction between social environment and criminal opportunity on crime from a single level, and lack the comprehensive influence of the interaction between social environment and housing types in different dimensions on burglary. Therefore, this paper takes ZG city as the research area, and around the theoretical perspective of "Place in neighborhood",based on the data of burglary crime, the seventh national census,POI data and the current land use situation, using principal component analysis, hierarchical clustering, negative binomial regression and other methods, discusses the influence of the interaction between social environment and housing types characterized by the compound function of migrant population and residential land on the spatial pattern of burglary. The main findings are as follows:(1)Influence of floating population and housing type on burglary. The model results show that there is a significant positive influence between the floating population and burglary, that is,the higher the proportion of floating population, the higher the incidence of burglary; The accessibility, supervision level and residential groups of different types of housing are different, and the impact on burglary is also different.Specifically,high-grade commercial housing and affordable housing have a significant negative impact on burglary; However, the influence of ordinary commercial housing and original public housing on community burglary is not significant. In the interaction between migrant population and housing types, the interaction between the proportion of migrant population and high-grade commercial housing and original public housing has a significant positive impact on community burglary, while the interaction with ordinary commercial housing and affordable housing has no significant impact on burglary. It shows that the proportion of foreign population significantly weakens the inhibitory effect of high-grade commercial housing and original public housing on burglary.(2)Coupling the relationship between residential land with different functions and burglary. The spatial distribution of residential land with different coupling functions based on POI function division is regular.Pure residential land is mainly distributed in the outer circle of the central city; The most densely distributed office residential land in space is the urban center area;Business service residential land is distributed in a "T" shape in the center of the city and clustered in the east of the city.In terms of coupling the influence of residential land with different functions on burglary, residential land with three functional environments has a significant positive impact on burglary, and residential land with commercial service function has the strongest impact on burglary, because residential land with commercial service function will attract more non-resident activities, improve the anonymity of community social environment and weaken the informal control level of community.(3)Influence of interaction between residential land and housing types on burglary. In this study, the commercial service-oriented residential land and housing types that have the greatest influence on burglary are selected for transactional analysis. The results show that the commercial service environment regulates the relationship between housing types and burglary in the community.Among them, the commercial environment has significantly enhanced the attraction of ordinary commercial housing to burglary; However, for the original public housing, the business environment has enhanced its inhibitory effect on burglary.(4)The influence of the interaction between foreign population, residential land coupled with commercial functions and housing types on burglary. At the same time,in the environment of foreign population and commercial service-oriented residential land, ordinary commercial housing, original public housing and affordable housing have significantly increased their attraction to burglary, among which affordable housing has the greatest impact. It can be seen that the community social environment is an important factor affecting burglary, and the burglary of different types of houses in the community is not only regulated by a single environment, but also influenced by different social environments. This study deepens the research on the integration of the theory of daily activities and the theory of social disorder, constructs an analytical framework of the influence of housing types in different social environments on the spatial pattern of burglary from the perspective of interaction, and enriches the discussion on the interaction between criminal opportunities and social environments("places in the neighborhood")in domestic criminal geography. At the same time, the research results of this paper can provide scientific basis for improving the urban public safety space planning, improving the social governance system of urban and rural communities, optimizing the deployment of police resources, and have certain significance for preventing and controlling the crime of burglary.
