With the deepening of the professionalization,professionalization and knowledge-based development trend of community workers,the ability of community workers is not only related to the efficiency of Community Governance,but also related to the satisfaction of community residents with service provision.Improving the ability of community workers is necessary to improve the efficiency of modern social governance,and also an important measure to improve the overall efficiency of Community Governance.From the perspective of chronology,the abilities of community workers change due to the influence of community work content.In different historical periods,the content of community work varies,and the requirements for community workers’ abilities also vary.Modern Community Governance is characterized by diversification of governance subjects,complexity of governance affairs,hierarchical needs of governance objects,and diversification of governance means.There are also problems such as low governance efficiency,low quality of community service supply,and unmet needs of community residents.This not only puts forward higher requirements for the ability of community workers,To a certain extent,it also reflects the fact that the ability of community workers is still unable to adapt to the complex tasks of Community Governance.How to change this situation and improve the ability of community workers to promote the level of Community Governance has become a research focus.Based on the cooperative governance theory and competency theory,according to the definition of competence and the requirements of job content or job responsibilities,this paper proposes that in the context of the modernization of Community Governance,community workers should have the ability to implement policies,serve residents and connect with the masses in order to better perform their job responsibilities and complete their job content.This article takes S city as an example and uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,and interview methods to investigate the current situation of the ability of community workers in S city.It is found that the main problems in improving the ability of community workers are:heavy administrative affairs in the community,strong job burnout of community workers,lack of professional knowledge and skills mastery,and low enthusiasm for serving residents.Through in-depth analysis of the underlying reasons,Clarify the reasons for the unreasonable setting of the management system for community workers,low salary levels,narrow promotion space,lack of targeted training content for community workers,single training channels and methods,and unclear positioning of community workers’ own responsibilities.From improving the management system for community workers,increasing salary levels,expanding promotion space,developing targeted training content,expanding training channels Innovate training methods and clarify the responsibilities of community workers to enhance their abilities.
