Research On The Governance Of Marriage And Funeral Habits Under The Background Of Modernization Of Grass Roots Governance

Marriage and funeral activities are a code of conduct and cultural phenomenon that people have long continued and developed.They are also one of the most important spiritual pillars of the Chinese nation in the new era.They are an important link for families,friends and neighbors to live in harmony and social stability and unity.At present,the marriage and funeral customs,to a certain extent,have such stereotypes as grand manipulation,feudal superstition,and high price bride price,which are eroding people’s values and are not conducive to the steady development of society.In the context of the new era,it is an important starting point to promote the construction of spiritual civilization and an inevitable requirement for the modernization of grass-roots governance to carry out the governance of marriage and funeral stereotypes.In September 2016,Wenzhou was identified as a key city for the governance of marriage and funeral customs nationwide,and a "Wenzhou sample" was initially formed in the practice of governance of marriage and funeral customs.Through normative research and empirical research,this paper not only explores the effectiveness and experience of Wenzhou’s governance of marriage and funeral stereotypes,but also provides experience and reference for the governance of urban and rural marriage and funeral stereotypes across the country,helping the modernization of grass-roots governance.On the basis of normative analysis of the logical relationship between the governance of marriage and funeral stereotypes and the modernization of grass-roots governance,this paper,through field survey,in-depth interview,questionnaire and other empirical research,grasps the effectiveness of Wenzhou’s governance of marriage and funeral stereotypes,the key problems and reasons,and puts forward policy recommendations to further improve the effectiveness of governance.The empirical research shows that the special governance of Wenzhou’s marriage and funeral stereotypes has saved a lot of social resources,changed some bad social customs,and made due contributions to the modernization of grass-roots governance.At present,there are still many problems in the governance of Wenzhou’s marriage and funeral stereotypes,such as insufficient participation of multiple subjects,incomplete reward and punishment system,insufficient effective supervision,weak scientific decision-making ability and weak publicity and implementation ability.The main reasons for these problems in the governance of Wenzhou’s marriage and funeral stereotypes are that the governance concept is relatively traditional,the governance system is not perfect,the governance ability is still insufficient,and the governance culture is not flexible enough.Therefore,under the guidance of the theory of "multiple governance" and "collaborative governance",this paper believes that the governance of marriage and funeral stereotypes should be adapted to local conditions.Further cultivate the concept of modern governance,improve the modern governance system,improve the modern governance capability and jointly build a shared governance culture,so as to protect the achievement of the original goal of Wenzhou’s marriage and funeral customs governance,and help the realization of the world governing value of the marriage and funeral customs reform action.
