A Study On The Role Of Suzhou Official New Media In Dealing With Public Health Emergencies

In recent years,affected by the deterioration of the ecological environment,the acceleration of population mobility,the prevalence of sub-health culture and other factors,public health emergencies,such as the COVID-19,have had an irretrievable negative impact on global economic and social development and the safety of public life and property,and have also brought great challenges to social governance,crisis Management of public opinion and other work.In the process of responding to public health emergencies,new government media,which has grown and developed with emerging technologies such as 5G,big data and blockchain,has played an important role in policy release,announcement,public opinion guidance,social management and other aspects due to its convenience,interactivity and richness,and has become increasingly important in the public crisis handling mechanism.The use of new government media can achieve rapid information dissemination and exchange,enable the government to communicate with the public more efficiently,guide public opinion more scientifically,and save more time and resources to maximize the work effect.This paper takes the municipal government affairs new media(mainly including government affairs WeChat official account,microblog,short video and APP)in Suzhou City,Jiangsu Province,in the Yangtze River Delta region as the research object,uses literature research,statistical analysis,questionnaire survey and other research methods to study its role in responding to public health emergencies,and finds that in this process,government affairs new media are limited by some objective and subjective conditions,There are some problems,such as the obvious inclination of the crisis handling process,the poor setting of the public opinion guidance agenda,the limited interaction between the government and the people in crisis communication,and the uneven construction of matrix talents.The main reasons are analyzed as follows:one-sided understanding of the principles of public crisis handling,inaccurate research and judgment of the public’s key concerns,the obvious concept of one-way government output publicity,and different basic conditions for the operation of different account subjects,On the basis of in-depth research,the paper puts forward countermeasures such as improving the mechanism to form joint efforts of crisis management departments,scientifically and rationally setting agenda content in line with needs,unblocking channels to play the role of public participation in governance,and improving the level of matrix talent construction through overall coordination.
