The Evaluation Of Transport Service Quality For The Elderly In Beijing Under The Background Of Digital Society Construction

With the deepening of aging society and the rapid development of science and technology,the digital divide for the elderly has gradually appeared.Transport,as the basis for older people social contact,is also facing the digital development brought about by technology.The elderly encounter many difficulties when they travel by digital serives and there is a lack of a set of standard to evaluate the quality of digital transport service for the elderly.Therefore,it is necessary to study how to evaluate the quality of digital transport service from the elderly people’s perception and discuss the influencing factors.This thesis takes the elderly in Beijing as the research object,explores how to construct the evaluation index of the elderly digital transport service quality,and studies the influencing factors of the evaluation index.Firstly,the literature on transport service quality and digital divide in domestic and abroad is reviewed.The situation of the elderly transport in Beijing,the design and management of transport department for the elderly passengers and the situation of the elderly education are collected through in-depth interview.Based on the literature and interview results,the evaluation index of digital transport service quality for the elderly in Beijing and its influencing factors were established.The relevant assumptions between two influencing factors of traffic service design,education and learning for the elderly,and six evaluation indexes of digital transport tangibles,digital transport accessibility,digital transport convenience,digital transport safety,digital transport empathy and digital transport responsiveness was constructed.Secondly,through the data analysis of 302 questionnaires,four evaluation indexes of digital transport tangibles,digital transport usefulness and safety,digital transport empathy and responsiveness,digital transport inclusion barriers were finally obtained,as well as two influencing factors of traffic service design,education and learning of the elderly.The relationship between influencing factors and evaluation indexes was verified by regression analysis.The data show that transport service design,education and learning of the elderly have significant impacts on the evaluation indicators,among which transport service design has a significant positive impact on the digital transport tangibles,digital transport usefulness and safety,and digital transport empathy and responsiveness,and has a significant negative impact on the digital transport inclusion barrier.The education and learning of the elderly has a significant positive impact on the digital transport tangibles,digital transport usefulness and safety.Finally,based on the research conclusions,this thesis proposes suggestions to optimize the quality of digital transport service for the elderly in Beijing from the perspectives of traffic service design,education and learning for the elderly.
