Lenin’s State and Revolution, written before the October Revolution,is the most representative and important text reflecting Lenin’s view of the state. On the basis of transforming and developing Hegelian dialectics,he revived the practical dimension of Marxist state theory, and fundamentally broke through the empirical research paradigm of the Second International on state issues. Its profundity lies in the fact that it leads theoretical criticism to revolutionary practice and reveals the dialectics of the construction and extinction of the state as a historical category in the overall revolutionary process of realizing the return of human nature. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter reviews the context of the times and the realistic appeal of Lenin’s view of the state, which lays the ideological foundation for the further study of Lenin’s view of the state. The second chapter begins with the construction of the text.On the basis of expounding the methodology of the construction of Lenin’s view of state, this paper reveals the construction logic of Lenin’s view of state from the three aspects of "the inevitability and contingency of world history","the economic inevitability of revolution and the initiative of historical subjects" and "the instrumental value and ultimate value of the state",and strives to show its innovation in theoretical construction. In the third chapter,on the basis of understanding the fundamental problem of Lenin’s view of state, the overall connotation of Lenin’s view of state is displayed by explaining the meaning and dialectical relationship of the three categories of "state essence","state function" and "state extinction",and then the revolutionary and critical core of Lenin’s concept of state is revealed. The fourth chapter is to explore the historical effect of Lenin’s view of state. On the one hand,it explains the enlightenment of Lenin’s view of state to western Marxism and its ideological command and extremely important practical guiding significance in the revolution and construction of the Soviet Union;on the other hand,it clarifies the enlightenment of Lenin’s view of state to the comprehensive construction of a socialist modern country in the new era based on the historical process of the Sinicization of Marxist theory of state.Lenin’s state theory is not only a return to Marx and Engels’ state theory on the basis of criticizing opportunist prejudice, but also an innovation in theoretical construction based on solving the problems of state and revolution in the imperialist era, which has become an ideological weapon for the world proletariat to realize human liberation. The study of the construction of Lenin’s view of state and its historical effects will further enrich and develop the Marxist theory of the state, and at the same time, help to promote the contemporary construction of a new form of Marxist view of the state with Chinese characteristics, thus providing a useful reference for building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.
