Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of The Village Committee Electio

Rural grass-roots organizations are the foundation of our Party’s governance,and villagers’ committees are the executor and leaders of village affairs and an important part of strengthening the Party’s leadership in rural work.The election of village committees is an important manifestation of villagers’ self-governance in China and the foundation of rural revitalization and development.It has a direct bearing on the Party’s governance foundation at the grassroots level as well as the social and economic development and people’s well-being at the grassroots level.The election and reelection of village committees is conducive to enhancing the people’s awareness of democracy and the legal system,and close the fleshed relationship between the Party and the people,which is an important manifestation of the socialist democratic policy in China.The election of village committees is an important work to establish democracy at the grassroots level and ensure that farmers are masters of their own affairs.Most farmers can exercise their democratic rights according to law,actively participate in villagers’ self-governance activities,and realize democratic management in rural areas.The research of this paper focuses on the current situation of the villagers’ committee election in S Street,Q City.Combined with the actual work,the problems in the villagers’ committee election are collected through interviews and surveys,and the causes of the problems are explored.In the election process of S Street,there are some problems,such as the election procedure is not standardized enough,the process is not transparent and open enough,the vote buying,the excessive intervention of the township government,the lack of enthusiasm and consciousness of the villagers for the village affairs autonomy,and the weak sense of concept.The main causes of these problems are the contradiction between the villagers’ legal consciousness and democratic consciousness in the election process,the lack of a reasonable supervision mechanism,and the weak mechanism of election error correction.In response to the existing problems,we have put forward countermeasures,such as improving relevant laws and regulations,strengthening public education,raising awareness of participation,and standardizing the electoral process.Through the research and analysis of the current situation of the election of villagers’ committees in S Street,Q City,the paper hopes to provide reference for the election work of villagers’ committees in various regions and promote the construction of grassroots democratic politics better.
