With the development of information technology and the popularization of smart phones,the Internet has been widely used in production and life,and people’s lives have become more and more convenient due to the empowerment of information technology.However,the ubiquitous network and more and more application scenarios are not all good news for the elderly.For various reasons,many of them are unable to overcome the barriers of digital technology,and can only "look at the Internet and sigh",even it is difficult to move in the network society.The data from the seventh census shows that China’s aging population is huge,and the growth rate of the aging population is accelerating.In the context of the current aging phenomenon,the party and the state have actively responded to population aging in the "14th Five-Year Plan".It has become a national strategy.In the new era,it is urgent to solve the digital divide of the elderly.The digital divide of the elderly group has different connotations and manifestations in different periods.This paper believes that the current digital divide of the elderly refers to the gap between the elderly and young people in terms of access,use,and knowledge of mobile terminal equipment represented by smartphones in mobile scenarios.At present,it is mainly manifested in three aspects:the access gap is gradually closing but still exists,the use gap is gradually narrowing but problems are prominent,and the knowledge gap is quietly increasing and implies challenges.The troubles and troubles these divides continue to bring to the elderly in daily life are a concrete manifestation of the digital divide.The problem of the digital divide is objectively caused by the fact that the information literacy and knowledge reserves of the elderly cannot keep up with the rapid development of information technology.In addition,there are also reasons why the government,enterprises,society and families do not pay enough attention to the digital products and service needs of the elderly.The problem of the digital divide is not only a technical problem,but also a social one.For the governance of the digital divide of the elderly,we must adhere to the elderly group as the center and serve the elderly group as the purpose,and adhere to the principle of combining traditional services with digital innovation,and combining universal use with classified promotion,through the coordination between the government and enterprises,society and individuals.Linkage,point-to-face,emergency needs and long-term synchronous governance,through the implementation of digital poverty alleviation,clearing digital traps,providing digital security,developing digital assistance for the elderly,advocating digital back-feeding,and improving digital literacy,and vigorously develop elderly technology.Building a digitally inclusive society for older age groups.Helping the elderly to gradually bridge the digital divide is of great significance to the sound development of my country’s elderly care industry,the enhancement of the well-being of the elderly,and the realization of social progress.
