Study On The Impact Of Public Service Satisfaction On Rural Residents’ Subjective Well-being In Shaanxi Province

“It is the fundamental task of the government to make people live a happy life,” Xi said in the 19 th Party Congress report.“It is necessary to make people feel more fulfilled,happy and secure,and more sustainable.” At present,our country is committed to building a well-off society in an all-round way,and an important measure of building a well-off society in an allround way is the happiness of all people’s lives.However,people’s happiness has not improved with economic growth and better living.According to the World Happiness Report 2016-2020,China’s happiness index fell from 83 to 94 out of 156 countries.The ranking is lower and continues to decline,meaning that residents’ happiness is not only related to the level of economic development of a country or region,but also to the benefits and public services provided by the state.The Fourth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth CPC Central Committee made it clear that “promoting the well-being of the people and promoting the all-round development of the people is the essential requirement for our Party to establish a party for the common good and govern for the people.” As an important means of redistribution,public service is an important way to realize socialist modernization in our country.Moreover,due to the long-term economic and social structure of urban and rural personnel,rural economic and social development lags behind cities,and the level of rural public services is much lower than cities.Urban and rural development is not balanced,rural development is not enough to become an important reflection of China’s inadequate development.Therefore,it is the key to build a well-off society for all in China to make up the shortcoming of rural economic and social development and improve the satisfaction and subjective happiness of rural public services.Based on the theory of rural public service and subjective well-being,this paper firstly analyzes the mechanism of public service satisfaction to subjective well-being.Secondly,through the construction of rural public service satisfaction measurement system and subjective well-being measurement system,using the structural equation model to analyze the impact of public service satisfaction on the subjective well-being of rural residents in Shaanxi Province.Finally,the conclusion of the empirical study is summarized and discussed,and some suggestions are put forward for the practice.The study found that:(1)rural public service satisfaction in Shaanxi Province is significantly and positively related to the subjective well-being of rural residents.Specifically,there is a significant positive correlation between life public service satisfaction,productive public service satisfaction and security public service satisfaction with the subjective well-being of rural residents in shaanxi province.Among them,public service satisfaction has the greatest influence on the subjective well-being of rural residents in Shaanxi Province.(2)Social equity perception plays an intermediary role in the process of rural public service satisfaction in Shaanxi Province;(3)Social trust plays an intermediary role in the process of the influence of rural public service satisfaction on the subjective well-being of rural residents;(4)Social equity perception and social trust play a chain-mediated role in the process of rural public service satisfaction affecting rural residents’ subjective well-being in Shaanxi Province.(5)Differences in sex,age,income and location make rural public service satisfaction in Shaanxi Province have different degrees of influence on the subjective well-being of rural residents with different demographic characteristics.Therefore,the government should take the farmers’ happiness as the guide,and carry out accurate policy with objective and subjective fairness in mind.Strengthen the foundation of public service government and construct the trust system of rural society.To increase farmers’ income as the core to improve the economic well-being;Improve the rural basic public service delivery mechanism to improve the well-being of the elderly,health care,education;Improve the rural grass-roots governance system to improve the political level of happiness.
