In 2021,China has made a comprehensive victory in the poverty battle.The village cadres played an important role in the poverty reduction.In the country’s comprehensive revitalization,they still act as an important force.The country has achieved comprehensive and well-off,however,after removing the poverty,problems such as the low enthusiasm and poor role of village cadres have gradually become prominent.The fundamental problem lies in the imperfect incentive mechanism of village cadres.Whether the incentive mechanism design of village cadres is scientific and reasonable or not affects their role and whether the goal of Rural Revitalization can be realized smoothly.Therefore,improving the incentive mechanism of village cadres has important practical and theoretical significance for promoting village cadres to truly take root at the grass-roots level and serve the countryside.This paper mainly adopted the research methods of literature research and questionnaire survey.Firstly,i consulted a large number of domestic and foreign incentive theories,civil servants’ incentive mechanism and domestic village cadres’ incentive mechanism related literature.On this basis,i defined the poverty-stricken areas,village cadres,incentive and incentive mechanism related concepts.Secondly,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the village cadres in poverty-stricken areas to obtain the survey data.Through the sorting and statistical analysis of the data,ERG theory was used to analyze the current situation of the incentive mechanism for village cadres in poverty-stricken areas.Two major problems in the incentive mechanism for village cadres in poverty alleviation areas were found out: there were not many incentive methods and the methods were ineffective;the incentive system construction was weak and the implementation is biased.Through in-depth analysis of the root causes,the main reasons for the problems are: unscientific setting of incentive content,restriction of incentive environment,and implementation of incentive mechanism mere formality.Finally,suggestions on improving the incentive mechanism for village cadres in poverty alleviation areas were put forward in a targeted manner,and optimization was made in six aspects,including salary system,welfare guarantee,promotion system,reward and punishment system,training system,and assessment system,so as to provide reference experience for the construction of incentive mechanism for village cadres.
