Public Service Satisfaction,Sense Of Social Justice And Residents’ Well-being

After "building a well-off society in an all-round way",building a "happy society" has become a new direction and goal for China’s social construction and development in the new era.And the emergence of the "happiness-income paradox"has prompted the Chinese government and scholars to start thinking about the element affecting happiness other than income.High levels of public service satisfaction and social justice are regarded as important new tools to improve national happiness in the new era.In this context,how to grasp the first key link in the process of deepening the reform of public service,and how to maximize the effect of the above two factors on the improvement of happiness in the shortest path has become a very valuable issue worth thinking about.This study uses CGSS2015 as the data source,and on the analysis of the present our country residents’ well-being,social fairness,public service satisfaction with the status quo,the mediation effect model is used to test the relationship between social justice in public service satisfaction and residents’well-being,in order to identify the key influencing factors of public service on improving residents’ well-being.The results show that at the present stage,the residents’ well-being,satisfaction with public services and sense of social justice all need to be improved.Among the demographic variables,the physical health factor has the most obvious effect on improving residents’ well-being.In terms of public service satisfaction,the overall dimension of adequacy and universal benefit,as well as the specific dimension of education,medical care,housing satisfaction,all have a significant positive impact on residents’ well-being and sense of social justice,and the universal benefit and housing security service satisfaction have the bigger impact.Sense of social justice is significantly positively correlated with residents’ well-being.The enhancement of individuals’ social justice perception is conducive to the increase of their happiness experience.Sense of social justice plays a partial mediating role between public service satisfaction and residents’ well-being.Public service satisfaction can not only have a direct positive impact on individuals’ happiness,but also indirectly increase individuals’ subjective happiness by improving their sense of social justice.In view of this,China should take multiple measures to gradually improve residents’ well-being from four aspects:promote the universalization and precision of public services,strengthening medical and health services,building a healthy China,optimizing housing security services,and promoting social equity and justice.
