Research On The Impact Of The Spatiotemporal Differences Of Population Aging On Economic Growth In Shaanxi Province

The continuous deepening of population aging has become an irreversible trend in the process of China’s economic and social development.In 2002,Shaanxi Province accounted for 8.01% of the population aged 65 and over,which has exceeded the aging society classification standard of7% of the population aged 65 and over.11.38%,and the degree of aging is increasing.The increasingly serious population aging has affected the sustainable and healthy economic growth of Shaanxi Province,so the research in this paper is particularly important.In this paper,the aging coefficient,the ratio of old to young,the dependency ratio of the elderly population,and per capita GDP of 10 prefecture-level cities in Shaanxi Province from 2000 to 2015 were used as indicators.The time and space of Shaanxi’s population aging and economic growth were analyzed.The evolution of the situation,while using spatial exploratory data analysis(ESDA)to find that the population aging in Shaanxi Province is spatially correlated and heterogeneous.Secondly,it uses co-integration theory and gray correlation to analyze the population aging of Shaanxi Province.Growth and the economic growth of the three major industries,and build a geographically weighted regression model(GWR)that integrates time and space factors.Select the elderly dependency ratio and child dependency ratio indicators of prefecture-level cities in Shaanxi Province to quantitatively measure the impact of population aging on economic growth.degree.Through research,it is found that: First,the population aging level in Shaanxi Province has been increasing year by year in time,and there is an imbalance in space.There is a gradual transition from the northern Shaanxi region to the Guanzhong region.The southern Shaanxi region has been in a severely aging region.Second,the aging coefficient and the global Moran index per capita GDP are both positive,and the effect of population aging on economic growth has a positive spatial correlation as a whole.Third,the aging of the population in Shaanxi Province will inhibit economic growth.The grey correlation between the aging of the population and the three major industries is in order from the third to the third,the third,and the first.Fourth,because of different geographical locations,the urban elderly dependency ratio and child dependency ratio have different obstacles to economic growth.Among them,the greatest degree of inhibition is in southern Shaanxi,and the least degree of inhibition is in northern Shaanxi.Finally,according to the research conclusions,in order to alleviate the negative effects of aging on economic growth in Shaanxi Province,suggestions were made to actively develop the aging industry,improve the service system for the elderly,and increase the labor participation rate of the elderly.
