| This thesis focuses on prostitutes and male dancers in the late Qing dynasties,based on a series of notebook novels about them.In addition,the paper also provides a more detailed study of the composition of folk music groups,performance venues,musical activities and social relations in the late Qing dynasties.The paper is divided into three parts: introduction,main text and conclusion.The introduction highlights the purpose and significance of this study,the definition of concepts,the analysis of the current state of research and the research methodology.The main text is divided into three chapters.In the first chapter,a historical overview of folk music groups in the late Qing dynasty music scene is presented from relevant notes and novels.The paper focuses on the k-spatial distribution,temporal distribution,and historical characteristics of the historical materials of the musical groups.On this basis,it is important to further understand the literati ideology and local identity implicit in the history of the musicians in order to prepare the ground for the discussion that follows.The second chapter discusses the composition of musicians in folk art venues in the late Qing dynasty from the perspective of both prostitutes and male dancers,taking into account the regional characteristics of musicians.Using brothels,private houses,and theatres as the subject of study,the paper focuses on the specific forms of expression of musicians in music and dance.The third chapter discusses the interactions of folk music in the late Qing dynasty from three perspectives: artistic exchanges among musicians,personal interactions,and artistic interactions with scholars.Through the analysis of’flower scores’ and ’newspapers’,the ’modernity’ and ’progress’ of musicians can be seen."It is also possible to re-examine the historical position of folk music in the entertainment scene in the context of the great changes of the late Qing Dynasty.Folk musicians in particular played a central role in the musical culture of the late Qing dynasty.They were both the bearers of history and the makers of their time. |
