On The Current Events Novels During Late Ming Dynasty To Early Qing Dynasty

This paper consists of ten chapters and an appendix. The previous three chapters discriminate and discuss the specific conditions of the Current Events Novels during late Ming Dynasty to early Qing Dynasty, Chapter IV to Chapter VI discuss specifically from three series, Chapter Vfl to Chapter Vffl discuss their developing distinction and artistic features, Chapter IX to Chapter X study their historical value and news value.Chapter I points out three features by which the Current Event Novels were distinguished from Historical Novels, confirms the existing works, discriminates and illustrates the time when the events came to be end and the books were completed, rethinks the existing state of study. Chapter II discusses the background of the Current Events Novels from four aspects: Turbulent situation and no constricting creation environment, trend of substantial results and changes of literature concepts, the new direction of Historical Novels and the influence of the Current Events Dramas.Chapter lH summarizes the authors' ideas guiding literary creation from five aspects, denouncing crafty and praising honesty, distinguishing between right and wrong, rethinking current politics, preserving historical data and diffusing news.Chapter IV enquiries into the material source of the serial novels in which leading character was Wei Zhongxian, commentaries the value of recording and rethinking Wei Zhongxian's behaviours that grabbed all the power and wrecked the country, analyses the legendary handwriting by which Wei Zhongxian's previous experience was portrayed. Chapter V reedits the material of the serial novels in which leading was LiZicheng, and the development of the authors' psychology, analyses the features and significance that real recorder and fabrication were coincided in the course of creating Li Zicheng, and commentaries the authors' rethinking on enemies and the extinction of the Ming Dynasty. Chapter VI points out that the Mao Wenlong in the novels was adverse to that in the historical data, analyses the truth of the novels in which Mao Wenlong was protagonist, commentaries the features of real recorder and its influence on artistic quality of the novels in which the masses' resistance in regions south of the Yangtze river was portrayed, and analyses the examination candidates' psychology during the period the dynasty was changed.Chapter Vfl discusses the development of the Current Events Novels from two directions, the current event blending separately with human feeling and the hero legends in which the material became vulgar. Chapter Vffl analyses the negative influence on the literature which were created by the news and historical facts, points out that their retrogression and progress were existing side by side, illustrates their influence on the Current Events Novels in late Qing dynasty.Chapter DC analyses the value of material of the Current Events Novels by exploring its influence on historical records and it reserving the only historical data. Chapter X demonstrates the value of news history of the Current Events Novels by collecting their news data and commentary their function on diffusion of news.The appendix enquiries into that the Ferocious person was not written by Li Qing.
