| In 2015,the General Secretary Xi Jinping said “ Let the people have more sense of gain”.In recent years,more and more scholars have begun to pay attention to the sense of gain.The sense of gain refers to the subjective feeling produced by an individual in the interests of gain,a positive emotional experience of satisfaction and happiness.Social anxiety is a common phenomenon among the middle school students,and the interpersonal communication begins to change at the middle school stage.According to the theory of self-determination,individuals with high social anxiety tend to have avoidance and withdrawal behaviors,and their ability and autonomy needs are difficult to be satisfied,so their sense of gain is low.The research shows that social anxiety is closely related to core self-evaluation,and core self-evaluation can affect individual’s emotion and behavior,and the sense of gain,as an emotional experience,is also affected by core self-evaluation.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to examine the relationship among among middle school students’ sense of gain,social anxiety and core self-evaluation,and to explore effective intervention strategies.This study consists of two sub-studies,one of which is to explore the relationship between variables by means of questionnaire,the other is to improve the core self-evaluation level of middle school students by means of group psychological counseling,to enhance their sense of gain.In study 1,a total of 800 junior middle school students from a complete middle school in Longyan,Fujian Province,were investigated by using the middle school students’ sense of acquisition questionnaire,the adolescent social anxiety scale and the core self-evaluation scale,finally,698 valid questionnaires were collected.On the basis of the first study,the second study selected 20 students of grade 7 and 8 who had low score of sense of gain and low level of core self-evaluation,10 students in the experimental group and 10 students in the control group,the experimental group members were given group counseling for 8 times to investigate the effectiveness of the intervention program.The data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and Process Macro program.The results showed that:(1)social anxiety significantly negatively predicted middle school students’ sense of gain;(2)social anxiety significantly negatively predicted core self-evaluation level;Core self-evaluation significantly positively predicted middle school students’ sense of gain,and core self-evaluation partially mediated the relationship between social anxiety and middle school students’ sense of gain.(3)compared with the control group,the scores of core self-evaluation and sense of gain of the participants who participated in group counseling were significantly improved,indicating that the intervention program had some effect.The study examined the relationship between social anxiety and sense of gain and the role of core self-evaluation in it,it also provides an effective and operable intervention program for the intervention of sense of gain. |
