| This paper includes two studies.Study one evaluates the current situation of college students’ online social anxiety, core self-evaluation,and intolerance of uncertainty, and builds a relationship model between the three.Study two builds an intervention plan based on the model to intervene the college students with high online social anxiety,in order to verify the effectiveness and applicability of group psychological counseling programs in preventing and reducing college students’ online social anxiety. In the study 1,conduct a questionnaire survey on 702 college students from a university in Hebei Province with the Chinese version of Social Anxiety Scale for Social Media Users(SAS-SMU),Core Self-Evaluation Scale(CSES),and Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale 12(IUS-12).The statistical software SPSS 25.0 was used to carry out descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test,analysis of variance and correlation analysis on the collected data, and the SPSS macro program PROCESS was used to construct the relationship model of core self-evaluation,intolerance of uncertainty and online social anxiety. The results showed that:(1)College students’ online social anxiety level is at a moderate to low level;(2)The core self-evaluation of college students is significantly negatively correlated with online social anxiety and the intolerance of uncertainty(r=-0.440,r=-0.483;p<0.01),while the intolerance of uncertainty is significantly positively correlated with online social anxiety(r=0.526,p<0.01);(3)college students’ core self-evaluation could significantly predict online social anxiety negatively(β=-0.440,t=-12.82,p<0.001),and the intolerance of uncertainty played a part of the intermediary role, the mediating effect accounts for44.9% of the total effect. That is,core self-evaluation can directly affect online social anxiety,or indirectly affect online social anxiety through intolerance of uncertainty. The second study, based on the relationship model of the first study, constructed a focus group psychological counseling program based on the intolerance of uncertainty. The students with online social anxiety in the high group and the intolerance of uncertainty in the high group were selected in the first study.Through one-on-one interviews,72 college students were finally selected as the research subjects, and were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group after matching the gender, age, etc. There were 36 students in each group. The experimental group received 8 times of focus group counseling, while the control group received a blank control.SPSS 25.0 software was used for data analysis, and repeated measurement analysis of variance was performed on the intolerance of uncertainty level and online social anxiety level of the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the scores of intolerance of uncertainty and online social anxiety between the experimental group and the control group before the intervention(p > 0.05).After the intervention, the scores of intolerance of uncertainty and online social anxiety in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(p<0.01).Compared to before intervention, the scores of intolerance of uncertainty and online social anxiety level in the experimental group decreased significantly(p < 0.01),while there was no significant change in the control group(p>0.05).It shows that the focus group psychological counseling can effectively improve college students’ intolerance of uncertainty and reduce the level of online social anxiety. |
