This paper takes the original script The Lotus Flower in the Sun Looks Red and other new rural drama scripts as the text research object, and discusses from three aspects: cultural discourse theory, narrative perspective theory and spatial narrative theory. The first chapter discusses the application of cultural discourse in the new rural drama. While catering to the aesthetic psychology of the public, commercial discourse should avoid blindly seeking for strange narrative, and should be infused with necessary cultural and moral connotations. In the use of mainstream discourse, conceptualized political diagrams should be avoided, and the connotation of mainstream discourse should be enriched by shaping positive characters with human interest and complex middle characters. In the use of elite discourse,it is necessary to avoid abstracting elite roles and ignoring roles’ education level, age, gender, etc.,so as to make elite discourse common and grounded. The second chapter discusses the application of narrative perspective theory in the new rural drama.Using an inner focus perspective requires creating believable characters to enhance the audience’s identity with the story. When using the external focusing perspective, the inner activities of the characters should be hidden to set suspense and enhance the audience’s desire to explore. When using zero focus perspective,it is necessary to control the length of the perspective to avoid the loss of plot suspense due to excessive use of God perspective. The third chapter discusses the application of spatial narrative theory in the new rural drama. The authenticity of the new rural space is created by adding names of real space and visiting villages to the pseudo-real space and even unreal space to show spatial details.Create the experience of new rural space by shaping the space to show the appearance of new rural construction with The Times.Through the natural landscape and cultural landscape with regional characteristics to create a new rural space with regional characteristics of Jiangnan region. |
