Research Of The Narrative Art On Contemporary Shaanxi Rural TV Drama Series

Shaanxi rural theme TV plays, as one of the most important Chinese rural theme TV types,are the most important branch in Shaanxi themes (known as "Shaanxi Style") TV plays.With its unique rural landscape and simple folk customs, they have become a particular branch of public attention reflected rural themes.Since then they have gone through the four periods:exploration period (1980-1985), maturity period (1990-1997), transition period (2000-2007) and the revival period (since 2007).During this period, the reform,the lives of farmers, and their ideological changes and agricultural production are vividly manifested in their representative works in the process reform and opening up;Great changes have occurred since 30 years in all aspects of rural Shaanxi and its reform has a profound impact on the countryside,farmers and agricultural;Meanwhile social pictures of rural Shaanxi are dipicted and varied authentic rural characters are created and the rural landscape with Shaanxi geographical features is demenstrated.In the late 90s of the 20th century, due to the influence of urbanization and marketization of the TV industry, the creation of TV plays on contemporary Shaanxi rural themes is in a stagnation stage,and it has been a hard time; the number of new era TV plays on contemporary Shaanxi rural themes is rising because of policy and market. Soon TV plays on them, displaying outstanding typical image of the new rural construction in Shaanxi,have returned to the public views and draw social attention and praise.This paper, based on TV plays on contemporary Shaanxi rural themes which are made and broadcasted by the Shaanxi provincial and other provincial film and television production companies from 1990 to 2015------"Farmer", "Shen he yuan", "Qin Chuan niu"," Niu Yuqin’s tree ","Tenth Rank official Wu ShanYang"," Big tree,Small tree"," Spread the sunshine "," Good man Lee TianMing", "Onsite Son-in-law"," the Common World",takes them as research examples for the purpose of exploring the theme of the development of common and innovation points from creation process of several decades, from two angles of the horizontal and vertical comparison, TV plays on contemporary Shaanxi rural themes are placed under the context of the rural development in China,are studied on their creative process, narrative themes, techniques,strategies and so on and analyze and reflect their dilemma of development in the creative process of the new era and provide practical, theorical support for further development of the new era.At the end of the paper,the author makes an analysis of the prospects for the development and creation of the narrative arts, and draws the conclusion that the lack of innovation and creation and single form are the main causes of development of the narrative arts.Support from the current policy for the Chinese TV industry and innovation and application of potential creative resources on rural hot topics will make these clearer, broader,and even more brilliant.
