Literary works are an integral part of culture as well as the embodiment of culture.The popularity of fantasy products in the global cultural market indicates that fantasy has become a global trend.Chinese fantasy literature is representative of Chinese culture and art,and is the cream of all mythic and romantic imaginations and thoughts of the Chinese nation from the primitive to modern times.People express their culture concepts and human awareness by creating fantasy worlds and telling fantasy stories.Throughout its history of thousands of years,Chinese fantasy literature incorporated foreign and emerging cultures,and constantly adapted its genres and representation techniques to cultures of different times,making itself possess both Chinese charm and global attributes.The emergency of the cross-cultural environment gave a further boost to Chinese fantasy literature,turning it into a huge success among cross-cultural audiences.Chinese international education is currently facing some new challenges.Telling Chinese stories needs to choose more appropriate stories,teaching Chinese needs to use more interesting and effective methods,and spreading Chinese culture needs to create a more open and inclusive cultural atmosphere.Taking Chinese as international education as the research perspective,this paper is on the educational and teaching application of fantasy literature with remarkable achievements in contemporary China,and selects the representative work,The Three-Body Problem,as the main research object of application.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part is an introduction,which mainly introduces the background,research basis and research methods.The development of contemporary Chinese fantasy literature and the research situation of applied literary works in Chinese international education are summarized,so as to clarify the innovation of this research.Then,the theory of second language acquisition and the teaching methods of fantasy literature are proposed as the necessity and feasibility of subsequent discussions.The second part is an application advantage analysis.Firstly,the overview of the concept and connotation of fantasy literature is used as the basis for delimiting the scope of research objects.Analyze the inherent advantages of applying fantasy literature,including unique narrative time and space modes,story themes with human consciousness,and the presentation of real China in related film and television works.It also analyzes the external advantages of fantasy literary works,including the temporal and spatial background,the new cultural groups that have a "feedback" effect,and the advantages of communication channels.The third part investigates the group of international students in China,and analyzes the attitudes of them towards Chinese literature courses and Chinese fantasy literature based on the survey results.The fourth part,based on the foregoing,discusses the use of the science fiction Three-Body Problem series as teaching texts,including its characteristics of language,background culture and overseas communication.Excerpts from the text of Three-Body Problem,combined with relevant audio-visual materials,use a variety of teaching methods,design advanced Chinese speaking classes and reading classes for international students.The fifth part explores more strategies of Chinese fantasy literature applied to the teaching of culture on the premise of questionnaire results and introspection on teaching instruction,and puts forward strategies for constructing cultural time and space,cultural image and cultural value identity.
