| This paper takes the common characters in the Six Arts Compendium of Yang’s Haiyuan Pavilion in the third year of Xianfeng as the research object,and studies the common characters involved in this book by combining unearthed documents with handed down documents and combining statistical data with theory.This paper consists of six parts: The first part defines the common characters,determines the scope of the study of common characters,and clarifies the relationship between common characters and variant characters.The second part divides the common characters involved in the Six Arts Compendium into ten types.The third part traces the source of the common characters.The common characters in the Six Arts Compendium mainly come from the ancient characters before Qin Dynasty,Qin characters and Han Li.The fourth part discusses the common character motivation in the Six Arts Compendium,and finds that most of the common character motivation is in the state of inheritance,and a few are in the situation of losing and reconstructing the motivation.The fifth part studies the configuration and combination of common characters in the Six Arts Compendium,and obtains two categories and fifteen different combination types.The sixth part examines the evolution of the common characters in the Six Arts Compendium in an all-round way.Some common characters in the Six Arts Compendium have the characteristics of assimilation and marking.The reasons for the emergence of common characters mainly include the driving of calligraphy style,the subconscious of the psychology of constructing characters and many other aspects. |
