The Study On Characters Configuration Of The Book Of Songs On Bamboo Slips In Anhui University

Bamboo slips and silk documents were written by people at that time with bamboo slips and silk as recording carriers.They are the first hand materials for us to study the appearance and usage of characters at that time.The tradition of writing characters on bamboo slips and silk has a long history.In the Warring States Period,bamboo slips and silk documents appeared in large numbers,and the number of characters on them was increasing.In the early and middle warring States period,The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University preserved 57 poems in the Book of Songs,which is the earliest and the most preserved text of the Book of Songs,and truly reflects the appearance of the characters of Chu.At present,senior scholars only trace the origin of some variant characters on this bamboo slips in terms of meaning,rhyme reading and shape,so there will be a huge research space for the characters in The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University.The configuration of characters in The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University is complicated,and the specific analysis can reveal the characteristics of the configuration system and some rules of the evolution of characters in the Warring States Period.Guided by Wang Ning’s theory of Chinese characters configuration,we use statistical,descriptive and contrast methods to discover and study 743 unrepeatable characters in Bamboo Slips of Warring States Period Collected by Anhui University（I）,and investigate the configuration of 728 characters having definite configuration comprehensively.In order to improve the frame of Chinese character shape evolution and the study of the development history of Chinese characters,we further explore the character configuration system of The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University and its evolution trend.The thesis is divided into five chapters.Its main contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly sorts out the configuration of Chinese characters and the research status of The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University,and also summarizes the significance,feasibility,ideas and methods of the research.The second chapter is the sorting of characters.It mainly explains the two special relations between characters in The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University which are called diverse ways of writing and diverse structures,and then also makes summary of their categories and characteristics.It is found that the number of characters which are called diverse ways of writing is large,in which the number of characters formed by increasing or decreasing strokes of characters is largest,while the number of characters which are called diverse structures is small.The third chapter is the analysis of configuration properties.It mainly analyzes the configuration properties of the character system of The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University,and specifically analyzes the category and function of components,character composed of single component and character composed of two or more components,the plane structure and level structure of characters composed of two or more components,and the configuration modes.It is found that the main function of component is semantic function.The number of character components is more than that of non-character components.The characters composed of two or more components are the main type of characters.And the level structure is the main structure of characters composed of two or more components.The main configuration mode is sound and meaning synthesis.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the configuration characteristics.It mainly expounds the appearance and the evolution trend of the character configuration system in The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University.It is found that the characters in The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University are systematic because they have a group of relatively stable basic components,basic component combination structures and basic configuration modes.And the system is rigorous and mature because of the dominant position of characters composed of two or more components,level structure and optimized sound and meaning synthesis.However,the system is transitional because of low construction energy of basic components,complex configuration modes and large proportion of characters called diverse ways of writing and diverse structures.The evolution of the characters Configuration of The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University includes two aspects.On the one hand,the evolution of individual form mainly focuses on the writing elements,configuration elements and configuration modes.On the other hand,the evolution of configuration system shows that component shapes and configuration properties become stable gradually,and the function of components becomes semantic and sonic gradually,and component combination mode is given priority to level combination of sound and meaning gradually.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.It mainly summarizes the research results of character structure of The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University.It has been clear that the characters of The Book of Songs on bamboo slips in Anhui University are affiliated to a continuously optimized character system conforming to the mainstream of sound and meaning synthesis in the process of the evolution of Chinese characters,and this system occupies a certain position in the development history of Chinese characters.
