English courses should be open to all students and pay attention to the different characteristics and individual differences of language learners.Due to the particularity of English subject and the complexity of rural education environment,the phenomenon of English learning difficulties in rural primary schools is more serious.The formation of learning difficulties is not caused by a single factor,culture,family,students and teachers’ teaching and other factors will have an impact on it.The fifth grade is a relatively stable stage for the formation of primary school students’ English achievement.Timely adjustment of students’ learning status at this stage can help students change the current situation of English learning difficulties better and make them return to the right track of English learning.Under the background of the current "double reduction" policy,we should better return to the main line of school education,helping students get out of the dilemma of English learning from the perspective of teaching.This study takes the fifth grade students of six rural primary schools in T District,Z City as the survey object.First of all,it shows the necessity and feasibility of the problem about learning difficulties in the fifth grade English teaching of current rural primary school,through the current research on the problem of learning difficulties at home and abroad,the theory of the recent development zone and second language acquisition.Secondly,understand the process of English learning problems in the current rural primary school fifth grade students through questionnaire distribution,teacher interview and other methods;And through the collection of data,further analysis the causes behind the current situation.Finally,through multiple comparative analysis,combined with the survey data,put forward the teaching transformation of rural primary school fifth grade English students from the perspective of education and teaching,specifically from the teaching concept,teaching method,teaching evaluation,home-school cooperation and other aspects.At present,the English learning situation of the fifth grade students in rural primary schools is not optimistic,and there are many problems for both teachers and students.At the students level,there are many problems,such as learning motivation to be changed,lack of initiative in the learning process,poor learning methods,unstable relationship between teachers and students.At the teachers level,the problems mainly focus on the lack affection for students with learning difficulties,the lack of vitality in English class,the poor professional development of teachers,the single means of interactive evaluation of teaching and so on.In the process of English teaching,teachers can change their thinking from teaching ideas;Improve teaching methods,add enjoyment to the class;Enrich teaching evaluation and stimulate students’ motivation;Strengthen the home-school collaboration,create a changing environment and other aspects to promote the improvement of their professional quality and teaching ability,truly play the role of school education main front,better promote the transformation of students with learning difficulties,improve the quality of English teaching.
