| In the advanced stage of learning Chinese,learners will be exposed to a large number of idiomatic phrases,idioms,two-part allegorical saying,three-syllable idioms and other forms of idiomatic phrases.The Chinese culture contained in these idiomatic phrases is the biggest obstacle for them to understand and master.In the "General Curriculum for International Chinese Language Teaching",high-level Chinese learners are also required to understand the cultural connotations of commonly used idioms,common sayings and certain allusions in Chinese.This shows that the culture of idiomatic phrases is an important element that must be mastered by Chinese learners at an advanced level.However,in the current research on idioms in international Chinese education,scholars mostly study the acquisition of a certain type of idiomatic phrases,and there is relatively little research from the perspective of idiom culture.As an important platform for communication activities among Chinese learners and cultural enthusiasts from various countries,"Chinese Bridge" attaches great importance to the investigation of Chinese learners’ idiomatic phrases and the culture of idiomatic phrases.Therefore,using this as a corpus for the study of the culture of idiomatic phrases has certain significance.Therefore,the author Uses manual transcription and quantitative analysis to compile the idiomatic phrases from the competition and the types of culture implied by the idiomatic phrases,and uses the second language acquisition theory and cross-cultural communication theory as the basis to study the acquisition of the culture of idiomatic phrases by the "Chinese Bridge" contestants from the 16 th to the 20th(2017-2021).In addition,considering the typicality and individuality of the "Chinese Bridge" contestants,as well as the impact of the nature of the "Chinese Bridge" competition on the contestants’ responses,the author selected some questions from the "Chinese Bridge" to conduct a questionnaire survey on international students with the same level of Chinese proficiency.Comparing the cultural loss and errors phenomena that occur when the two acquire the culture of idiomatic phrases,it can be found that current high-level Chinese learners have average proficiency in acquiring the culture of idiomatic phrases.The difficulty of learning lies in the cultural significance,understanding of cultural background,and application of idiomatic phrases.In addition,through the above analysis,it can be concluded that the main factors affecting learners’ acquisition of the culture of idiomatic phrases include the complexity of the idiomatic phrases itself,the input and output of the idiomatic phrases,the degree of learners’ cultural adaptation,the influence of learners’ mother tongue background,and the influence of learning motivation.Based on these surveys,relevant strategies for improving the acquisition of the culture of idiomatic phrases by advanced Chinese language learners have been summarized from two aspects: learners’ acquisition strategies and teachers’ strategies. |
