The profession of rural doctors is widespread in rural areas of our country,and they have played a vital role in the rural medical and health system after the founding of New China.The subject of this documentary "Doctor Blang",Chen Zhizheng,is a village doctor from Xiaomengtong Town,Yongde County,Yunnan Province.The Chen family has practiced medicine there for generations.The film truly records the stories in the Chen Family Clinic from March to August2020.It uses Chen Zhizheng’s medical treatment as the main line and connects the real life conditions of the locals in the form of group portraits.It aims to show the impact of modern civilization in the countryside.The mutual assistance relationship between people in society.This article is a complete report on the creation process of the documentary "Doctor Blang".The main body part includes introduction,pre-planning,mid-term shooting,post-production,and summary and reflection.Through this creation,the author has a deeper understanding of observational documentaries,and at the same time has a new understanding of Ogawa Shinsuke’s “time is the first element of documentaries”.The shooting of a documentary should not be too impetuous like the creation of a TV feature film.During the three months of living and eating with the subject,the author lived with the locals,observing their lifestyle,economic model,and interpersonal communication model.Under the premise of making a preset,I recorded the things that moved me,and finally completed the creation of the film.
