A Study On The Landscape Painting Style Of Gao Kegong

Gao Kegong was a master of painting Yunyan in the early Yuan Dynasty.His artistic pursuit,creative thoughts and expression techniques occupied the mainstream in the painting circle at that time and had a great influence on the later generations.First of all,this paper systematically analyzes Gao Kegong’s life and time background,and then expounds the expression techniques and aesthetic characteristics of Gao Kegong’s "cloud and smoke" in landscape painting.By studying and exploring the expression of "Clouds and smoke" in Gao Kegong’s landscape painting "Clouds and Mountains" and "Clouds and Dawn in Spring" and its creation in the artistic conception of the picture,this paper illustrates that the expression technique of "clouds and smoke" in landscape painting is closely related to the inheritance and exploration of ancient excellent works.It not only inherits and explores the brush and ink techniques,but also inherits and develops some painting ideas and aesthetic consciousness.Finally,I came to the conclusion that I would study tradition instead of conforming to the rules,learn from nature,understand the nature of all things,and appreciate the beauty of nature with my heart.I fully expressed my feelings through the creation of landscape painting,so as to create better works.
