Research On The Design Of Children's Story Picture Books With The Theme Of "God Of Fire

Chinese traditional culture is the root and soul of the Chinese nation,and tapping into the value and significance of traditional culture is still important to the development of the present era.Traditional storytelling picture books play an important role in enabling children to better understand the spiritual content of culture and enhance their cultural heritage.At present,most traditional culture picture books in China use myths and legends as the main entry point,and focus on the narrative of the complete story,with few relating the content to children’s contemporary lives.The article first defines the concept of Vulcan,the children’s group and the picture book to clarify the properties and characteristics of the object;secondly,it examines the image of Vulcan and the cultural characteristics it contains,giving the myth and legend a certain cultural ground so as to better serve the richness of the content of the storytelling picture book.Finally,through a questionnaire survey of both children and parents,the images of the fire gods are made more relevant to children’s perceptions,and the characters’ images,colour schemes and plotting of the stories are made more relevant to real life,allowing children to experience traditional culture and enhance their imagination in their daily lives,further bringing them closer to the storytelling picture books.The content of the picture book is based on the myths and legends behind the god of fire and extends them to contemporary life,using storytelling to link the culture of the god of fire in the context of contemporary development,revitalising traditional culture in real life,giving it a new connotation and value,and enhancing cultural confidence.
