Promoting the professional quality of teachers in senior high schools in the context of network teaching is not only an important guarantee for the construction of the teaching staff and sustainable development,but also an important basis for boosting the development of education and improving the quality of the senior high school education.So it is of great practical significance and theoretical value to study the deficiencies and explore the strategies of the professional quality of senior high school teachers in the context of network teaching.This thesis is based on the related literature research and relationship analysis.Under the guidance of the theory of teachers’ professional development,by consulting the relevant literature,sending questionnaires to senior high teachers in Y city in northern Guangdong,communicating with educators,I carried out field research,made a series of the empirical investigation and analyzed the obtained data statistically with SPSS26.0.The result turns out to be as follows: the overall situation of professional quality of teachers in senior high schools is at moderate level,but there still lies many problems.Firstly,the high school teachers have a lack of professional knowledge,so it is hard for them to interpret new forms of education.Secondly,their professional skills are not enough,so it is hard for them to face challenges from data literacy,information literacy and mutual teacher assistance.Their inadequate skills lead to frequent frustration and poor teaching efficiency.Thirdly,teachers’ thinking accomplishment is not so systematic that it is challengeable for them to use critical thinking to interpret materials and express their own innovative ideas.Lack of thinking accomplishment results in work burnout and monotonous teaching modality.Fourthly,their professional beliefs are not so solid that they tend to become impetuous and lose confidence and motivation to explore and practice when they meet up with challenges.According to these problems,the thesis proposes the following reasonable countermeasures from the perspective of teachers,schools,the local education administrative departments.The core of the improvement of English teachers ’professional lies in the awakening of teachers ’personal self-consciousness.Secondly,the school ought to complete teacher professional development system to build a better platform for the improvement of teachers ’professional quality.Thirdly,the local education administrative departments had better coordinate to provide proper policy guarantee for the professional development of senior high school teachers.Through the above measures,the professional quality of senior high school English teachers will be advanced effectively,so as to promote the high-quality development of education. |
