In the process of education informatization and modernization,front-line teachers are one of the key factors for effective and successful promotion.Good professional quality of teachers is conducive to teachers actively accepting new knowledge and new requirements,and integrating high-quality into education and teaching.It is also beneficial to organizing a high-quality excellent teaching team.And then they can improve the whole level of education.This study is to provide strategies that can effectively promote the professional literacy of junior high school English teachers through analyzing the current problems of Junior high school English teacher professionalism.Firstly,this paper analyzes the current research status of junior high school English teachers’ professional literacy by sorting out the journal literature on teachers’ professional quality at home and abroad,and collects questionnaires on the professional literacy of six junior high school English teachers in H City by means of online questionnaires.In addition,junior high school English teachers in H City were interviewed in a combination of online and offline methods to supplement the questionnaire survey.Secondly,through the collation and analysis of data,the current status quo and existing problems of the professional literacy of junior high school English teachers are sorted out from the four dimensions of knowledge literacy,ability literacy,information literacy and professional affection literacy.Finally,based on the analysis of the causes of the existing problems,effective strategies to improve the professional quality of junior high school English teachers are proposed from the three aspects as following: teachers themselves,schools,society and education departments.These effective strategies are expected to promote the professional development of junior high school English teachers and can help set up a high quality and professional team of junior high school English teachers.
