| Good classroom management can not only guarantee the smooth progress of teaching activities,but also is an important force to promote the healthy and all-round development of students.However,in rural primary schools,the classroom management of English teachers still emphasizes authority and effectiveness.In order to make students learn English in a relaxed and cheerful and energetic environment,it is necessary to realize the importance of classroom management for classroom practice.This study took the English classroom management of two rural primary schools in Y County as the research object,and conducted case studies on the English classroom management of two rural primary schools through questionnaires and interviews.According to the data analysis results,the physical environment of rural schools can basically meet the learning needs of students in other subjects,but can not meet the learning needs of English;In class,teacher-student relationship and teacher-student interaction decrease with the growth of grade,and classroom management has no standardized requirements and strong randomness,which directly leads to more problem behaviors than good behaviors.Teachers lack ways to deal with problem behaviors,and carry out marginalized management for some groups of students.In teaching,teachers tend to traditional teaching mode,unreasonable target setting,traditional teaching means and single teaching method;Outside the classroom,students have almost no contact with English,and English teachers have very little interaction with parents.The reasons are mainly reflected in four aspects: first,the shortage of English teachers affects the quality of classroom teaching;Second,teachers’ outdated concept of classroom management and neglect students’ subjectivity;Third,students have a low sense of self-efficacy,resulting in a lack of motivation in English learning;Fourth,parents are unable to cooperate,lack of awareness of cooperation with teachers.Aiming at the problems of English classroom management,the paper puts forward the optimization of classroom environment.Standardize classroom requirements;Improving classroom behavior;Improve the teaching effect;In order to improve the rural primary school English classroom management,improve the efficiency of rural students’ English learning,and promote the overall development of students. |
