With the in-depth development of the new curriculum reform,basic education in rural areas has attracted more attention,and the English curriculum reform in rural primary schools is also being gradually promoted.However,in rural areas,English teaching in primary schools is faced with certain difficulties due to the relative lack of educational resources and teachers,as well as the lack of good English learning environment for students in rural areas.As one of the most basic subject education,primary school English education must focus on the overall situation of students’ future development,pay attention to cultivating students’ interest in English learning,and lay a good foundation for students’ future English language learning.Therefore,English teachers in rural primary schools must overcome the difficulties faced by English education in rural areas in the actual process of English classroom management.Based on my own teaching experience and relevant literature,this paper puts forward research questions and summarizes and comments on relevant research at home and abroad.Taking three rural public primary schools in Boluo County as examples,this paper explores strategies for improving classroom management under the current situation of rural pupils’ Interest in English learning.Through questionnaire survey and interview,this paper understands the current situation of rural primary school students’ interest in English learning and finds the following problems in English classroom management in rural primary schools:The backward management ideas of teachers,the lack of rules in English classroom management,the unattractive teaching methods of teachers,the dull classroom atmosphere,the tension between teachers and students,and the single teaching methods all affect the cultivation of students’ interest in learning.According to the actual development of English education in rural areas,this paper puts forward the optimization path of rural primary school English classroom management from the perspective of learning interest cultivation.In terms of classroom management concept,teachers themselves should take the initiative to update management concept,and schools should also provide different ways to help teachers improve management concept;In terms of English classroom management rules,teachers should work together with students to formulate reasonable classroom management rules,and deal with students’ violations of discipline correctly through effective measures;In terms of classroom teaching methods,schools should strengthen teaching and research guidance,and teachers should optimize classroom teaching practice and create interesting English learning situations.In terms of classroom atmosphere,teachers should improve the way of classroom management,create a good learning environment,strengthen communication between teachers and students to create a sense of security in the classroom;As for the English classroom evaluation mechanism,teachers should establish diversified teaching methods and schools should perfect the teaching evaluation supervision mechanism.Through these five aspects to promote the rural primary school English classroom management quality improvement,and then cultivate students’ interest in learning.
